I didn't miss any point and I clearly stated why. Simple.
You didn't reply to anything I said, but still felt the need to take a pot shot at what was just my opinion.
I still think this is just a publicity stunt, and don't forget my other point that it was a nice offer.

I speak as a casual sports fan of many sports, along with close friends, who are happy to travel up to 90 min each way if the event and facilities have the right appeal. Don’t speak on behalf of a large group of people like it’s fact. You stated your opinion, I disagreed.

It is truly mind boggling that you tell me not to speak on behalf of others and proceed to do so yourself within the same paragraph.

Proof of the pudding, let’s see what tonight’s crowd turns out to be. If it’s 30k plus I’ll concede that people prefer slightly less travel over a much better experience.
If not well not much to lose trying the other hypothesis if we end up in similar situation next year.

You are right. If they get 30000, it would merely be a pass mark, but would be a shit show to watch on tv. Even just a 25-27000 crowd at Bankwest would be a far more superior product for the game to sell.

Apologies, I assumed it was fairly obvious what I was getting at with my remark about publicity.

The NRL is constantly criticised (mostly on here) for a lack of marketing and/or publicity - whether it's token, moralistic or whatever you want to call it - he's painting the NRL in a positive light publicly.

That you've gone to the nth degree to outline why it's negative - that I don't understand.

I understand your point re the NRL being constantly criticised, particularly on this site. I'm not one of those that do, but at the same time, they open themselves up for plenty of criticism - the judiciary being a prime example, amongst others.
