Easy fix is to give out 20k seats to corporate sponsors like the AFL do. Taking in account the MCC members holds 25k and the AFL members holds 25k the competing club members fight for only 30k seats. Getting Canberra and Roosters fans filling up the ANZ is tough although i thought Raiders had bigger support. 2016 there were Sharks fans paying 300% of face value on ebay

The problem is that the demand isn’t there from corporates at anz.

and there is still enough time for them to do it, the current government has done plenty of back flips before, mind you the clubs who play out of ANZ have already worked out their scheduling for next year for after the dates that work is supposed to start on ANZ.

Always a mystery to me. In fact I always thought the plan all along was to get Allianz done first so it could host the GF while ANZ got the refurb. Thought that may have been the reason for a 60k seater instead of 40k.

it was never going to be a 60k seater mate, always 42-45k. And the agreement with the NRL and the NSW gov always had an SCG game as part of it, even if the Allianz rebuild didn’t get stalled, there was simply not enough time to have it finished before ANZ work started.

The NSW gov have backflipped that many times with this whole shit fight, surely the NRL has grounds to do the same.Suncorp should have been in line for an interim GF.
