All I want for purchasing tickets is to have access to all sections of the stadium (taking into account that some events might run at reduced capacity) and to be able to drill down and pick exact seats.

Ticketmaster has a fantastic system. When I went to Newcastle to watch the Roosters play, the system let's you choose your exact seat given that its not GA. I highly rate it

Buried in the article is the fact they are referring to tickets sold over this past weekend, one day if which only one participant in the game was known.

No mention of how tickets tracked during the season or on Monday when roosters tickets went quicker than raiders.
Exactly. My brother and I bought a dozen tix when Tix first went on sale back in June or whenever. I think we’ll easily outnumber the raiders bandwagoners come Sunday.

It seems to vary by event. I've purchased tickets through Ticketek for basketball and have been able to select exact seats. I've also been able to select exact seats for events at AAMI Park - but not every time.

Makes those last thousand tickets easier to sell when they aren't up in the sky.

Meanwhile the dedicated fans bend over and pay ticketek to f**k them unlubed

They do it in Brisbane for origin and the NQ derby game, f**king enfuriating.

Yep but ultimately the owner of the event calls the shots, depending on how it’s selling.

the gf was not selling will last week, so as soon as the raiders made the gf Friday night, I swept in and got two seats in 605 row 3 for cat bronze, booked them as concession for $70 a pop. Pretty sure the poor pricks next to me might have paid $265 each.

it is a total fraud

Hearing more reports of people who compromised on extremely pricey tickets early only to find far better ones available today for the same price or better.
Ticketek really are merkins.
This is the airlines pricing strategy. Get what you can while you can but if there's a risk of empty seats in the last days $40 is better than $0. Maybe there is a problem selling this GF.

Why free tickets that seems unfair to people who have bought them.
It is very embarrassing to the NRL to have empty seats, or even a crowd that is less than last year's. Much better to give tickets away. They should give them away in Canberra.

Sydney loves us.

We know it, you know it, they know it.
You'll be happy to know I am 100% neutral. I'll watch because I love RL but like 2007-8 I could not care less who wins. I would have rooted for the storm over either of these but they weren't good enough.

It's commonplace in everything. Things go on sale depending on supply and demand. Capitalism ♂️

Its a weird thing in Oz that airline process go up the nearer the departure time. In europe last minute bargains are great but here if you leave it till last minute Qantas stings you double! Seems they would rather have empty seats.

Is there a risk the GF doesn't sell out? Some sections are selling slow. Also note that every time I go back onto Ticketek there appear to be new categories...

Really frustrated with the way Ticketek and the NRL sell tickets to big events.

I got mine yesterday morning, with multiple refreshes all giving me nosebleed seats for Gold category and Silver and Bronze all but sold out.
Today, the members allocation comes out. Surprise surprise, you can easily get Gold class tickets on level 1.

So by getting in early i've paid a premium price for worse seats in the same category. Awesome.

Why do they release bad seats before good seats? Why not just let me choose?
Pissed off
Just wondering if anyone has sent any feedback to either the ticket seller or the nrl and if you have got a response?
