2019 Crowd Watch

Pretty disappointing, although I'm sure Parra will be too tonight.

Manly is a real tricky situation. It's hard to imagine them ever with a decent average in the current situation.

I doubt they'll want to go to the new SFS or Gosford, which just leaves Brookvale. I'd love to see a St Helens type ground there but it's unlikely to ever get funded. Even better if it could be close to a rail link, like Chatswood but that is even less likely given the limited availability of land and how much developers would pay.

It's hard to imagine a real future for manly..

Maybe in 1967 all you needed was support of your local 9 suburbs..

But it's 50 years later..

If they don't embrace North shore and Central coast they are dead

We not only need WSS to open, but for the Eels and Wests Tigers to have decent seasons winning most of their games there.

The new stadium factor will see people who may not have gone to the footy in a while or as often as they use to come to WSS. We ideally want them to enjoy the experience and get back into the 'habit' of attending games.

If the Eels and Tigers do a good job, they could easily see their crowd average swell to the 20K+ mark there and stay there.

It didn't look too much different from the Waratahs game earlier in the year when they claimed to have 17k

Agree. The creative number crunches are well and truelly doing their bit in union . Quite noticeably if you look at official crowd statistics their are plenty of union games that were clearly poorly attended with TBA in the number column. The Public relations policy at work for a deceptive impression of union to the uninformed observer.

Amazing how many sports other than NRL report inflated crowd numbers, and the NRL is so honest, how unfair is that?! Maybe independent contractors can be hired to audit these numbers so they can be verified and confirmed?
