Ok, so its a rebuilding year. In that case for next week

1 Aekins
2 Edwards
3 DWZ
4 Blake
5 Too
6 Luai
7 Cleary
13 JFH
12 Martin
11 Kikau
10 Ellis
9 Egan
8 Tamou

14 Katoa
15 Hetherington
16 Winterstein
17 Leota

After June 30, play as many of the development players as possible to make decisions for 2020.

Close to mine. I'd promote Matheson Johns into May's spot given Winterstein is 32 probably see him not in top 17

So my pack and bench:

Tamou
Egan
Martin
Kikau
JFH
Sele

Katoa
Leota
Johns
Hetherington

Sure it lack class but atm I'd rather a side that puts in 100% and is outclassed. Then the high price underperforming one we get now

Sivo would never of made first grade at Penrith

It’s the great coaching staff at parra than have transformed him into a first grade player

Tries scored: 16th
Completion rate: 16th
Offloads: 15th
Run meters: 15th
Dummy half runs: 15th
Tackle busts: 14th
Penalties conceded: 1st
Errors: 2nd
Tries conceded: 2nd
Missed tackles: 3rd

But we are 1st in tackles in the opposition 20 and in forced line dropouts. This will have affected our run meters, dummy half runs, and tackle busts, I think, because of the less space available, but it is still not pretty reading. We have nothing in attack.

Interestingly, although we do not offload much, we are 16th in one-pass hit ups. This indicates that we are not really playing a hard, grinding style, thus sacrificing offloads, but are instead shovelling it a couple of passes wide a lot. Again, this could be because we are in the opposition 20 a lot, but it is also an indication of our insipid work with the ball.

Let’s forget the stats for a minute and just look at the facts;

Gus wasn’t perfect and his decision to build our forward pack around RCG was a huge mistake. One dimensional front rower who had a good 12 months based on nothing more than aggression.

We have never addressed the issues around our lack of pace in the three quarters? We got by in the Hook years on the back of our forwards and ad lib footy.

Our hookers offer nothing the way the game is being played now. I’ve watched every game this magic round and all dummy halves offer far more than ours. It may be a coaching issue or a game plan issue but Katoa & Egan are the worst dummy halves in the comp. May not be there fault but they are the worst.

When you are 1st in opportunity’s inside your opponents 20 metre zone but last in converting those chances into tries that say it all really. Nothing more to be said that is a coaching issue.

We are done in 2019 and I can cop as long as there is a plan, a strategic plan in place post Gus.

We also had the most tackles against us in the 20m zone. Averaging even more 20m zone tackles against us then for us.

No doubt a result of the amount of errors we make and penalties we concede. Easy to see how teams get so many chances on our line.
