Read the whole article in the D/T.

The short term solution thing doesn’t wash, that’s exactly what we needed after 3 years of going out in the second round of the finals. Short term success.

As long as Bennett was overseen & not allowed to dramatically change other aspects of the club it would’ve been fine.

The long term argument for Cleary makes no sense either, he hasn’t shown himself to be some genius in rebuilding clubs. You don’t give 5 year deals to coaches who have only ever been in the top 4 twice out of 12 seasons.

And Cleary was committed at the Tigers. That the board considered alternatives to Cleary, despite not approaching him, tells me there's a whole different version of events than what Dave is trying to sell.

Which makes it more and more obvious that Ivan was the pawn in keeping Nathan at the club. Very hard for Ivan’s mate to deny this

They can try and spin it however they want but the fact is we have a squad that has been top 8 the last 3 seasons now sitting at the bottom of the table, Clearys own son is talking about how our standards have dropped at training ffs.

I honestly think Ivan came in this season and was a bit concerned about Nathan dynamic with the squad so he didn't go too hard on the team and tried to be buddies with everyone and now we have a team of soft f**kwits. Its unforgivable.

Also I know I am late but I couldn't comment when it was relevant so I will now. We should've just torn up Tyrone Mays contract as soon as that video leaked, I have no sympathy for moron footy players who cant do their business without filming it, Coleman also should of been punted as soon as that stuff went down.

Two consenting adults can’t film themselves having sex without getting retribution from their employers?

That’s what you’re saying if you wanted him punted immediately.

What if it was the partner who leaked it? You would’ve punted May before it was known who did the leaking.

Society is too deep into people’s private lives already, we can’t allow employers into people’s bedrooms.

Now of course the equation changes if it wasn’t consensual.

She has charged him so she didn't consent to him sharing it. And yes either way if it ends up on the news then I have no problem with punting someone. Its beyond stupidity for him to be filming himself with his NRL profile. Go and lay bricks if you want to send sex tapes to your mates. I don't give two shits if that's unfair, May is getting paid over 100k to play a game, they can go without sex tapes.

She hasn’t charged him, the police have. You can’t lay charges in Australia as an individual.

She’s *claimed* to police that it wasn’t consensual, that claim is yet to be tested. Making a claim doesn’t make it factual.

As for your other points, I couldn’t disagree more. Even footballers are entitled to a private life. Glad the club acted reasonably in waiting to understand the facts.

Its not his private life, its in the public domain as soon as you share it. Don't give me that crap. It was confirmed that he sent it to a group of players was it not? Someone sent it to me that is for sure and ill tell you the content does him no favours at all, hes not a person youd want anywhere near anyone you cared about.

Its not the filming it that bothers me, its sharing it, make all the sextapes you want but if they end up on the news after you put it out on the internet then its on you . Anyone in the NRL who wants to share his sex tapes is criminally stupid and I would have no problem pissing them off. These guys get a shitload of education about how to avoid these dramas and they still f**k up.

Nothing has been established as to who shared it. He doesn’t have to deny it, in fact his lawyer would’ve told him very clearly not to make any public statements on the matter.

If/when it’s established he shared it then the club can act, but that simply hasn’t been established yet.

The NRL questioned CHN over hm being the leak. I wonder why they thought he was the leak? How we would he have even had the video to leak? The girl sent it to him and then told the NRL he was one of the people who it could've been????? LOL If they are chasing down former panthers over potentially being the leak then its a safe assumption May shared it with at least one other Panther.

When you’re tearing up a contract you don’t make assumptions.

The person who leaked it could’ve got unauthorised access to May’s phone for all we know. (Not hacked, but physically access the phone without May’s knowledge)

I’m puzzled by the need to rush to judgement without an investigation, that’s not how well run organisations conduct their business.

The NRL had launched an investigation, but when it became a police matter they ceased it as is the proper thing to do.

I'm not rushing to judgement. I just want the club I support to have some standards, May filmed this and sent it to his mates, he has brought our club and game into disrepute, that's enough for me.

There is a news article where Isaah Yeo is talking about what error in judgement May has made in regards to this sextape. If May didn't share the video they would be talking about Tyrone being the victim, not bagging him. Please lets not be naïve here.

Quote from Yeo:

https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...l/news-story/a398b6a78b9e7cc1d1ec43f274f51ad2

“We’re given a lot of coaching by the NRL and by the club about what to do and what not to do, I think it’s a matter of common sense and stay away from that negative spotlight. Obviously we haven’t done that and hopefully this is a learning curve"

These guys get training about social media, respecting women and how to behave and avoid trouble every year, training that most of us never get. NRL clubs spend a fortune on it. Im sorry but if you still do something like sending a sextape to your mates after that you are liable to losing your job if it blows up IMO.

Again you’re making more assumptions. It’s assumption after assumption with no established facts. We do not know if May sent this to his mates.

Just a few posts ago you thought May had actually admitted to sharing the video, now you’re trying to read between the lines. If you were in charge of the club you’d be opening them up to legal action.

How about the standard of due process? Does that not matter anymore?

Good grief.

From thinking he’d actually admitted to doing it, to making assumptions based on limited information.

You are burying your head in the sand, how naive can you be? There has been numerous articles talking about players sharing sex tapes with each other on whatsapp. You have the nrl investigating former panthers players over leaking the video that May filmed. You have Mays own teammates publicly admonishing him for being stupid and f**king up.

IF May was claiming to be the victim of a phone hack then the panthers would’ve 100 percent published that as it helps their image, a phone hack makes May the victim as much as the girl.

Where did I say he admitted to it? You cant even get you facts straight in the same comment. I was questioning whether it was confirmed, you know what a question mark is? My opinion is he definitely sent it(you'd have to have rocks in your head to think otherwise), but that is not a confirmation.

I’m not being naive, I actually think it’s more likely than not he did share it. I just happen to believe it should be established before he’s sacked.

Why do you need him sacked before it’s established?
