Josh Mansour to the Sharks.

Seems to be a lot of discussion/arguing over something none of us have a f**king clue about.
You new here?

The only way I can see Griffin being prohibited from coaching in the NRL is if he agreed to it as a term of his termination agreement in order to achieve a full or higher payout amount. Effectively, you pay me my 2019 & 2020 salary under the contract and I won't coach in the NRL. Given he likely didn't have anyone knocking his door down, it would appear to be an astute negotiation.

Speaking for Franklin, Frog, myself etc. I don't think any of us are saying with 100% certainty he does have a non-compete in his contract/termination/release, but in reality it's very very possible. Not sure why people are even arguing it? Nor why they're so offended by the thought of it.

It is so possible it has never happened in recent memory, When has an NRL coach been fired then barred from working in the nrl for the remainder of the contract that just got terminated?

When has a team in the top 4 fired a coach 6 weeks out? It is a strange situation all round that isn't like anything before.

Pretty much this. It worked out for all that is the main thing

No. being sacked is being sacked, it doesn't matter if is round 1 or the week before the grand final.
Aw shit. No, its not. This was a negotiated termination, not a sacking. A sacking is where the employee can unilaterally terminate as a result of breach of an essential contract term by the employee. We sought to end Griffin's contract early, without him giving cause, hence negotiations were required.

Agreements will typically provide for a defined payment if the employer terminates for no cause. In the NRL, typically this would be minimum 12 months given the time required to secure one of the limited opportunities. If Hook pushed for payout in excess of the contracted amount (& given the circumstances the club had no choice but to negotiate), the club may have sought its own conditions, including full payout but Hook not to coach NRL for a time.

This is just 1 scenario. Who knows what the negotiations were or where they landed.

Holy shit this is ridiculous. Show me the where the definition of sacked is as far as contractual law goes? Lol we didn't want him we got rid of him, he was sacked.

I think this forum needs a negotiated contract for the number of consecutive pages Anthony Griffin's contract status can be discussed for before instant termination of posting privileges is invoked.

Hook is the one person that keeps this forum going

Who ever mentioned him getting another nrl job for 2018 finals series? Certainly not me, It doesn't change my point at all, you are just waffling on again moving the goal posts desperately trying to appear like you could have some kind of point.
You were the one saying that he could not get an NRL gig and that you knew that he didn't have any thing, such as payout clauses etc, stopping him. So again, put up the proof or, even better, stfu. Most others on here don't give a sh!t, it's just you trying to prove your point. You already did, you are a fool. Not too many on here doubt that.

Yes, sacked is a contractual law term. We'll give you the crayons to write with.
