Bring back Peachey, Merrin and CHN.

There's a match winner, a forward who puts in and a good line runner. With Yeo looking at time on the sideline our second row is back to shit again.

Agree with that.

We were fitter, had a better resolve and better talent last year.

I don’t see Ivan holding the individuals accountable in ways that will net results. His nice guy approach isn’t what this team needs.

Couple that with underperforming “stars” and we have a recipe for a lean year.

Remember when RCG said Hook's pre season was boring?

Boring and prepared is much better then keeping it easy for the players and dishing out this garbage

I don’t think I’ve ever liked any of my coaches over the years, especially the ones that drove us hard during the off-season.

That being said, they were there to get results, not be my mate.

This pack of youths needs a leader, not a mate.

Stat Attack: Lack of whack in defence is hurting Panthers

The Panthers not only need to figure out how they can gather more points, scoring the least amount of tries (10) after five rounds, but their defence requires just as much work with an NRL-high 201 most missed tackles.

This time last year Penrith were sitting pretty in third spot with four wins from five games, but this season the Eels, Storm and Titans have already handed it to them, putting a total of 82 points on Ivan Cleary’s side.

Their only two wins were the great escape against Wests Tigers in round four and a narrow victory over the Knights in round two.

The Panthers' poor defence seems to have carried over from 2018, when they had the worst record for missed tackles (975).
In 2019, skipper James Maloney has been the offender with 28 missed tackles, the most in the competition. He is also ranked equal second for penalties conceded (7).

Team-mate James Fisher-Harris is second to Maloney with 27 missed tackles but on the flip side he has powered through the fifth most tackles (224) among the 16 clubs after five rounds.

The Panthers will need to address this defensive issue ahead of Thursday's clash with a Sharks outfit which leads the NRL in line breaks (25).

Is Jimmy carrying an injury? 13 missed tackles was bad even by his standards. Last year when his defence dropped to that standard he had a broken hand.

Jimmy is done. A careers worth of injuries and wear and tear are catching up with him. His old body is tired and mentally he is clocking off as well.

Very interesting. There was a whisper doing the rounds a couple of weeks ago that Maloney was leaving before June 30.

Happy with that, but i agree its interesting it's not Maloney & probably cements that he won't be here next year.
