James Fisher-Harris has been our best player.

Fish has been great.
My only concern with him is last season he started the year well then ran out of steam mid season.
This year he has most weeks being playing 80 minutes and you can see him getting tired towards the back end of games.
I think to preserve him for the season maybe he should be playing 60 -65 minutes.

No worries mate. On a different note, does that mean the other Jimmy has been demoted? He’s been leading the team out since Wal retired if I’m not mistaken?

It definitely appears that way. Unless Maloney said to take the captaincy away so he can focus on his game.

Congratulations to Tamou. He has really stepped up this year. His best season so far since we signed him and looks like the player we signed him to be. Well deserved captaincy.

Be nice to have him and RCG firing at the same time. Hopefully RCG watches the way Tamou, JFH and Kikau throw their bodies around and decides to man up and dothe same. Because if he doesnt we need to offload him. He's being paid to be our best forward and he's delivering about a third of what we're paying him to deliver.

I dont mind tamou captain but personally i would have gone with yeo myself.

Tamou is only delivering on what is paid to do.

His form has been decent but it masks over our deficiencies yet again

Until we find or recruit the game breaking front rower who is capable of making 15-20 hit ups for 200 metres with some off loads nothing is gonna change.

We have major flaws in our outside backs but are currently losing games because we are not winning the battle up front.

Tamou and perhaps RCG should be complimenting our game breaking front rower which sadly we don’t have.

Resigning RCG as our marquee front rower will go down as Gould’s biggest mistake.

So what is going wrong at the Panthers?

Apart from the off-season from hell due to the porno video series scandal and Gus Gould being on the outer, I’m getting word from the players that they weren’t pushed as hard as in recent years.

With veteran trainer Ron Palmer now gone from the club, players took a few short cuts - and the results are there for all to see on the field.

Touted as possible grand finalists by some critics before a ball was kicked, the Panthers now appear in danger of missing the finals altogether given their form in the early rounds.

I heard that in 2015 our training (Or lack of) was key to our crappy season. It started in the off-season with our four nations reps being allowed to return to training after New Years (Moylan, Mansour, Brown and Whare).

Hope we aren't seeing this again.

All true. I play oztag with a mate that played NYC in 2014 and 15. So he is close to a few guys in grade and it goes with what he has told me about Ivan's methods

Given who we lost. You'd think they haven't. No way we let go who we did AND took Maloney's $800k off.

Personally. If Edwards stays wing I'd get rid of him.
One of Egan and Katoa should go.
