I’ve always had them as my second team, Freddie was/is my sporting hero so I went for them when I first saw League. Moving to Brisbane I started to go for them and did for a long time. But when Bennett signed on Matt Lodge I found it extremely difficult to support them as they were signing him just saying that he is good and that’s all that matters. I strongly believe people who threaten to kill innocents and bash kids have no right to play top grade sports. It made me turn away and lose interest. I just find it impossible to cheer for someone like that especially when his club is just condoning it.

And take note that Souths are a top 4 side. So how does a top 4 side,with missing only one player, get hammered? That is how far the gap is even between the top 4 side, and to a larger extent,the top 8. We shouldn't be having a finals series with lop sided scores like this. It just exposes the unevenness in the competition.

Roosters probably mentally clocked out of the regular season when they realised they couldn't win the minor prem. It's like they've been preserving all their energy for the 1st week of the finals and boy Souffs have copped it
