Agree. The font the NRL uses is horrid too. Would be something they could have easily changed over the off-season.

Perhaps we just need to accept that the NRL simply don't care about whether the text needs to be read from a distance but would prefer it blending in. I actually don't care as much as some of the others in this thread.

In fact, if the text on that Jersey was black, I would loathe the Jersey even more as it would be too distracting.

The Bulldogs haven't really released jerseys, just sneak preview late last year and the design of the away appeared in the team store briefly.

Anyone care to guess/estimate when any of these will be revealed (or in the Bulldogs case, OFFICIALLY revealed)??

Next couple of weeks I imagine. Souths have announced sponsor so it would be pretty imminent, while Melbourne are probably still trying to finalise theirs.

Storm wore last year’s jerseys at a training camp in recent weeks so unless they want to do a run of temporary jerseys for trial games (in 2014 they had an @storm patch heat pressed onto blank jerseys in the absence of a front of jersey sponsor) they might just do that.

Surely they'll fix this in 2020. Same font as their premiership logo text (minus any dumb corner notches), with the top stem cut shorter on the "1" if required, a single thicker outline, and the double V at the base of each number.

Forgot to post this the other day but here's an extension of the logo application using one of Pantone's neon colour sets. A few are a bit on the nose colour-wise but I didn't want to make half the league use red.

Not too keen on the neon colours but I get why you'd go with something like that considering the NRL is using a neon looking green. Matching the chevrons to exact club colours would look great.

That was pretty much my reasoning. If using actual club colours, there would be issues with certain teams like the Bulldogs. Their colour is royal(ish) blue, which wouldn't show up well against the background colour I've used - the neon blue I've used doesn't show up that well either. An alternative would be to use silver but it would basically look white.

That club logo doesn’t look great on the jerseys. And to think I was starting to come around and like it. They’re not even using the coloured version of it.

They look like retail jerseys they’re wearing, too so surely they’ll be selling them soon. Fortunately ISC is pretty good at updating jerseys during the season. Unfortunately that means my dumb ass will probably end up buying a second one.
