Lol you absolute child.

Was an error by Boyd nothing more

Can you call it an error when a fullback steps out of the way of a player instead of making a one-on-one tackle? Or was it just Darius not wanting to get flattened by a rampaging prop and jumping out of the way?

You're being really harsh on him, Kaufusi did nothing but run at him all night and Milford did a great job putting his body on the line, we were beaten in the middle, there's not a whole lot Milford can do about that.

Why don't you make a judgement based on a game later in the season when we have just as much field position as they do, last night wasn't that night. I refuse to look for a scape goat when your team is flogged by a simply better team, it's too easy blame the halves, give it a few weeks.

What did he create? And yet again as per usual his kicking game was absolutely pathetic. Don’t care about his defence which isn’t great anyway.

Again we have two young halves who are just about ready. Could they really do worse? Sure can’t kick any worse.

Then we have the useless decision to put Gillett at lock..

That didn’t go well eh? Turned a world class edge into an ordinary middle. Tackled his heart out but didn’t really stiffen up the middle in the way that a lock should.

Children do tend to enjoy repeating themselves.

He’s an edge and an elite one goodness knows why he’s playing lock

Speaking of repeating themselves. In a one on one situation (like last night) Darius will always miss the man with the ball. You might as well give the try when the line is broken. He actually missed one before that last night and Bird had to make a cover tackle.

He is too small nowadays to play in the middle (the modern lock is just a fit prop). We also miss his defensive pressure on the edge. He was great at singling out the opposition one on one and putting a big hit on.

I know TPJ is unfit, but we need someone else in the middle.

Lodge being charged for something against a player that booted someone in the head last year that got off with no charge that shouldn't have even played last night.
No, Lodge being charged for being a grubby merkin.
It doesn't matter who he attacked like that, it was deliberate and dangerous and warrants a suspension.

I'd be saying suspend him even if he'd done it to Fafita.

Broncos attacking structures are still woeful, once again relying on some opportunistic individual brilliance.

Seibold cannot use the same tactics with McCullough at 9 and Nikorima at 7, if anything Nikorima should be playing the same role Smith Jr does for the Storm and promoting an actual halfback from their ranks.

Defence woeful, can't even wrap up the ball with 3-4 players tackling someone. Boyd being sold a dummy by a prop is also a moment that would tell the coach he should retire and let Isaako take the reigns.

Storm still the team to beat and haven't lost an opener since '01, perfectly prepared side.
How do you retire Boyd when some idiot/s at the end of 2017 thought it would be a good idea to give him a four year contract worth $3m? He was a broken down crock then.
I’ve been calling this since they paid Bird $900k per season but I’d have the following spine
1. Milford
6. Bird
7. Sullivan
9. Anyone but Macca
Boyd into the centres.

Ah good old Benny giving a broken down Darius a retirement gift, paying Milford double his value and more (to play at 5/8), letting Taylor and Hunt go but playing Nikorima at 7 and keeping McCullough as an 80 min hooker.

And how about 900K for Bird.

Lol.

What was he thinking with??? Big head or......

Surely the coach has to try this and adjust the starting pack and bench.
This season will test the hype around Seibold in a big way.

He doesn’t have the personnel to run the same game plan that he played at Souths. I’m very curious to see whether he has the nous to implement an effective plan based on Brisbane’s roster, and whether he has the balls to upset the playing roster along the way.

Boyd decided on Thursday night he wasn’t going to put his body on the line. If he goes to centre and does the same, he could be the highest paid ISC player in history.

Jennings would be his biggest rival.

Wonder if Seibold has Ricky’s stones.
