Yep, I agree consistency is very poor in this, and most other areas. Just checking this was the rule, as I thought it was.

I thought it odd the commentators blowing up over this when they know this is the rule (Smith knows the rules,even if some of the sideshow commentators don't (scarily, the ones who played and still coach at rep level don't seem to know the rules of the game...)).
