Tbf mate, neither are we on this performance.
A Melbourne or Roosters would have put 40 on that performance from Penrith.
Good start to the season though.
Don't judge teams on one game in the wet. I still think we'll finish mid-table. Penrith should go slightly better based on their roster.

They lost some quality players from last year merrin, peachey and harawira-naera, the later two were close to their best players last year

The also won a lot of games coming from behind, , doubt they can do that again in a lot of games like last year, that , they couldn't today

I think they are in a decline phase, Maloney aint any younger, pressure on cleary/cleary will be exposed

just my thoughts

They are effective when they are done well.

When.
Yeah last year teams were allowed to stand offside because there were already too many ruck penalties. That meant block plays only worked after a quick play-the-ball in the middle. But prior to last year we were running successful block plays whether the defence was on the backpedal or not.
