Tbf mate, neither are we on this performance.
A Melbourne or Roosters would have put 40 on that performance from Penrith.
Good start to the season though.

In the last few minutes I thought we were pushing the pass too often. The team needs to learn how to close out these type of matches. We need a composer @strider Great first up effort thou.

Once we were up by eight at the end there I wanted us to throw it around more. In hindsight we did the smart thing.

They lost some quality players from last year merrin, peachey and harawira-naera, the later two were close to their best players last year

The also won a lot of games coming from behind, , doubt they can do that again in a lot of games like last year, that , they couldn't today

I think they are in a decline phase, Maloney aint any younger, pressure on cleary/cleary will be exposed

Yeah last year teams were allowed to stand offside because there were already too many ruck penalties. That meant block plays only worked after a quick play-the-ball in the middle. But prior to last year we were running successful block plays whether the defence was on the backpedal or not.
