60% possesion
10-2 Penalty count in our favour
123 less tackles
Yet we missed more tackles and made less tackle breaks
2 points ahead with 5 to go.

Maybe I saw a different game. I thought the Panthers looked more skillfull and dangerous with ball. It was just poor ball handling in the wet that cost them.

Nikuore impressed me as did Taka with his offloads. Alvaro I thought missed easy tackles and was piss weak in his efforts for Tamou try. Looked a yard slow in my eyes. May need time to adjust to new playing weight.
Mannah plugged away, defense was very good. Ferguson was superb. Sivo lacked the power I thought he may have.

Pack has potential to be very good once Jnr,Terepo and Manu slot back in.
Go Ambush your datehole merkin!!

60% possession due to poor handling as a result of the defensive pressure we applied mainly.
10-2 penalty count due to their lack of discipline (Maloney x 2 high tackles for example)
123 less tackles because of the above 2 reasons
A difference of 2 missed tackles and 2 less tackle breaks - negligible in the overall scheme of the game
2 missed sideline conversion or we were 6 points ahead with 5 minutes to go.
Oh and they only scored their first try when we were down to 12 men.

Maybe you did see a different game.
Well he was looking through the goggles of the Penrith mascot.

Great to get an unexpected first up win. Haven't seen the game, but encouraging signs. A real chance to go 2-0 up next week.

Oh and on Cleary is he the most overrated player in the game???

Just because he didn’t shit the bed in origin like that champion bed shitter in Shitchell Pearce he been made into some sort of super half. His defence is very good, his kicking game is very solid and he makes few errors. Hardly a superstar, wouldn’t swap him for Dylan Brown.

I've seen a few comments saying it was a tough win. Yeah sure we were only up by 2 with 3 minutes to go but I thought we did it pretty easily. Outside of that 10 minutes when Jennings was binned, penrith never looked like scoring. For a team that has had minimal roster turnover, they looked clunky in attack and relied solely on offloads and quick play the balls.

Brown and Lane have already struck up a threatening partnership which will only improve. Sivo is only going to become more confident. And we've got a few forwards to come back into the 17.

Solid first grader but also overrated. The best thing about him is that he can play long minutes. We already have plenty of that type of forward.

I think what is overrated is your analysis. Brown is a gun and he is the driving force and enforcer of our pack. In fact if he didn't get injured against the Panthers and stayed free of injury, I would go as far as to say that Fitler would of started to look at him as De Belin's SOO replacement. He would thrive in that arena. A hard nut with skills that would tear it up.

I agree he wouldn't be out of place in Origin. But merkins talk about him like he's up there with Hindmarsh or Gallen in his prime.

Do you seriously think that Brown is 'an enforcer'?

If you say so. But I haven't read anyone getting that hard over him. It's more like we haven't had anyone with that sort of aggression, skill and metres in him that we are very, very enthusiastic and excited that we have.

No one is comparing him to two of the absolute legends of the game.

I think that he has an intimidating quality and aggression to his game above anyone else in our team. Other then maybe M'au at his best, we are very thin on the ground when it comes to true controlled aggression.

Brown channelled Kaysa with his Kamikaze style. Coincidentially hes injured himself yet again. Love his energy but it needs to be tempered for his own survival. Get on it coaches.

Tearing a pec has nothing to do his energy or the coaching staff. He just put his arm out and he was caught in an awkward position. You could do that playing touch in the backyard.

It certainly looked like a pec injury but there are reports that it could be a bicep injury, which would be much better in terms of recovery time
