I was so wrong about Lane. I totally bagged him as a signing. Thought he ha da decent trial but wanted to see him in a real game. And he was outstanding today.

He was good last year, but one season doesn't prove anything.

Unless it's the Eels having a sit season, then suddenly it proves everything.

How long was Evans on the field for? You'd think with Brown off the field he would've seen more game time? Did he even get 20 mins?

He's an attacking player. With us in front on the scoreboard we didn't exactly need him.

Gower was good old mr dependable when Nrown went down

It's a game where I thought our inexperience would hurt us. Players like Gower helped us close the game out, especially when it got a bit nervy.

I'd suggest if it was Junior Paulo, probably a worse defensive player than Evans, he would've played more than Evans, if not double the amount of minutes.

I'd also suggest that if we were down 14 nil Evana would've played about the same amount of time.

He's essentially a Number 6 Middle Forward that looks good in a good team and shit anywhere else.

He didn’t need to do anything impressive....he came on rolled his sleeves up, cut the crap out of his game and did his job... it was a solid stint

Zero missed tackles, zero errors, zero penalties conceded. In the wet and in front by a narrow margin, it wasn't the type of game that suited him.

Rammy was always his staunchest supporter, but I, too, always thought he was a good player.

I didn't rate Lane either until last year when he had his first good season. Prior to that he was just another one of many merkins with potential.

While a win is a win, todays game was bad for our season, just because of the injury to Nathan Brown.

Solid first grader but also overrated. The best thing about him is that he can play long minutes. We already have plenty of that type of forward.

Nikuore impressed me as did Taka with his offloads. Alvaro I thought missed easy tackles and was piss weak in his efforts for Tamou try. Looked a yard slow in my eyes. May need time to adjust to new playing weight.
Mannah plugged away, defense was very good. Ferguson was superb. Sivo lacked the power I thought he may have.

With 12 to go my money would of been on the Panthers tbh. Looked more dangerous. A poor refs call when ball went back and gave us a scrum on halfway swung momentum back in our favour. We where very lucky in this one.

10-2 penalty count due to their lack of discipline (Maloney x 2 high tackles for example)

A difference of 2 missed tackles and 2 less tackle breaks - negligible in the overall scheme of the game
2 missed sideline conversion or we were 6 points ahead with 5 minutes to go.
Oh and they only scored their first try when we were down to 12 men.
