Fairly sure it was just about ready pre-Xmas but I think there were some issues around scheduling when it came to FTA games. I imagine they re-open Monday and we'll see the ISP, Flegg and Ball/Matts draws soon after.

Sounds like the expanded Touch RL schedule is also having a NSW Cup schedule impact

As they are now trying to put Touch RL before NRL Easts Wests Parra and Newcastle NRL games

I doubt that has any impact on ISP scheduling, only one or two of those clubs host curtain raisers anyway

Guildford have added David Harris (Wests) and Adam Soultan (ECE) to their ranks.

Interesting to see who Ryde Hawks will have playing for them.

East Campbelltown are making solid preparations to defend their SS title by signing 13 players from their Grand Final team : Shannon Gallant, Grant Lahey, Brett Lahey, Mason Talolua, Jarryd Eggleton, Aaron Teariki, Fili Havea, John DaSilva, Alex Pontifara, Sean Connor, Chris Standing, Craig Moustakis and Theo Leato.

The 4 players unsigned are Amano Tovio, Ronny Palumbo, Kobe Chamberlain and Adam Soultan. Chamberlain and another fringe ECE player Ailand Davis Pihema have signed train and trial contracts with Wests Tigers and as revealed by Mountain Man, Adam Soultan has moved to Guildford.

ECE will also have 4 members of their 2016 premiership team returning from other clubs : Guy Thompson, Eddie Vatuvei, Chris Vaotua and Fusi Toutai.

Fringe players Baden Stewart, Vince Ripepi, Bryce Shaw and Sam Kimi Ione have also been retained.

I would say they would be favorites to defend that title but does seem as though some of those names have been around the NSWRL Competitions forever.
If not returning, that is a couple of big losses in Tovio and Palumbo, who appears to have returned to the french competition as has been the case the past seasons. Some real classy additions there in Thompson, who recently won Best and Fairest of the Group 21 comp,as well as Eddie Vatuvei who has been one of Wests better players.
Surely they would be forced to move up into RMC if they deliver another premiership this season.

The player retention of ECE reminds me of Sydney Bulls, who were only around 11 years, always at or near the top of the table, and had a lot of players that stayed 5 seasons and some 10.

Yeah very similar ,the Bulls featured in 7 Metro/Jim Beam Grand finals from 2002 to 2010.
Had great rivalries with The Entrance and Windsor.
The State Cup team was also well performed .
Feels like yesterday but it’s near 15 years ago now ..Wow

How big is the 'gap' between RMC and Shield? It's all well and good that East get a 'promotion,' but for what benefit if they'd get belted by 30+ each week?

I think they’d be a middle table team in RMC to be honest.
They wouldnt have a chance of winning the comp at all but would be a very competitive team.
Look back to the 2016 season, all the games they played were on the bye weekend of RMC,naturally clubs filled their shield team with Massey players. They still won the comp against a very very good Mounties team which featured a tone of their RMC players and a handful of State Cup players.
Go through the 2018 Grand final team list(basically identical to 2016) ,all at some point have played 20s,RMC & State Cup,Gallant played in the NRL.
So they do have the caliber and should have been placed in the RMC after 2016 i believe.
