The Game 2020 Jerseys/Logos/Sponsorships

Look. In the end if a company was offering my club - especially if they had struggled financially at times, a big fat 7 figure deal to display their untouched logo on our jersey then I’m all for it. I agree the integrated designs look so much better, but in the end - f**k it. If it helps my club then sweet. These jersey marks who act as if the team should take less money just so it looks nice on a jersey baffles me. They’re the same fans who’d demand a board change or NRL bailout if their club was going bust. But at least stockland looked nice on their jersey.

This is only a theory/ it's been stated a few times how this isn't always the case and not a single person here knows enough about the individual deals to comment.

It's clear it's not as simple as logo X money...

Im up in Newcastle once a month, as some of our friends have moved up there a few years ago, and in going to the local pubs there, the NIB logo gets mentioned as a joke a few times, ive heard it around, (like souff fans with no teeff) and in round 25 we played them in penrith, we used it as a joke, an they didn't like it, appart from the drumming we gave them, its unfortunate that they know that it can be done better, and most probably sell better too
Sounds like an anecdote to me. The net effect would negligible in terms of jersey sales and that's the fact that matters.

While it’s only a personal story so not evidence, the company I used to work for were approached by the Blackhawks. One of the things mentioned in their proposal was our logo would be ‘unedited’ if we paid a certain tier of sponsorship.

Evidence, ....commenting on forum has turned into a court of law, what evidence is there of souths fans with no teef, or brown paper bag payments done in bondi, besides your story regarding blackhawks is also not evidence since its also just an anecdote.
Theres no way to compare jersey sales, unless knights decided to intergrate their NIB into their jersey, and then travel/finish relatively similar on the ladder to the previous year just to see if it made a difference

You must be blind or something because everyone had already seen it 3 days before then!

No-one was saying you were definitely wrong, you just never gave any proof of your statement. Not even a "my mate's next door neighbor's auntie has a cousin who lives next to the ISC factory". You simply stated they wouldn't have a nines jersey like the world is supposed to trust your every word just because. Using a recently released club picture only shows that you guessed correctly, doesn't really prove that you had legitimate proof originally.
Yeah so why did you say that in the first place?

What a sick burn, making fun of graphic design.

Not really, but my newy mates hate it when we bring it up, then they carry on as much as i have on this forum topic, so really ive just become on extension of them, but only here...
Wait till i start raving about wests not wearing a predominant orange jersey

Do you understand that you (and your newy mates) are almost certainly a minority though?

It's just not an issue for most Knights fans.

Not sure i understand, where are the majorities? Here on this forum?
Or are they living in the Hunter and Newcastle central, word of mouth there might not be "factually" satisfying towards evidence, coming from me to you, but if im thinking it as a panther fan, and mates up there are too, im sure there will be more who are willing to spend money on a jersey, but won't, a few posters here already said the same thing, "not willing to spend over a hundred dollars".
I'd probably buy one soon as they ditch that box, as i like to collect jerseys from all the clubs.

If you can find threads on the Knights forum on here, or on other Knights forums, or on Knights facebook pages and groups, people replying to Knights twitter, and proof that Newcastle's merch sales have nosedived, be my guest. I haven't heard this kind of discussion among Knights fans I know.
