You're frothing at the mouth now. Really, Luai should have been brought in, to bring together the combination that blitzed all comers 17 games straight, but Freddy lost his balls somewhere along the M4 heading east in 1995 or so.
This is a big game, you don't want players who choke in the grand final after winning 17 games straight sullying state of origin. They don’t belong there.

Agreed. He should have picked more PANTHERS players so we could watch them lose again.

So the 5/8th with 3 Premierships and one Clive Churchill Medal gets dropped after one Origin game but the 0 Premiership halfback with the worst GF performance in living memory and zero try assists in 6 Origin games keeps his spot.

Cleary is next level teflon.
Yep. Absolutely stunning. Qld are a big chance of 3-0. 1995 revisited.

Fittler needs to pick two specialist props on the interchange bench. By going with only one, you reduce someone like Jake T to playing a bash and barge game which is not his strongest suit. Not every player who plays lock forward in the NRL is suited to playing front row. NSW keep doing this and it costs them more often than not.

This is even more important this year with the 6 again rule speeding up the game even more, you need to have proper "power" players on the field who are relatively fresh at all times. You can't do that with only 3 specialist front row forwards in your 17 player squad. Without go forward from the front rowers, the halves and backs can do little as they have no time and space to do anything creative with the ball.

Agreed. Haas didn't contribute enough and Paulo's first stint was good but not so much the second. Saifiti can't do it all himself. Klemmer would have been handy. Brown I think will help because he actually hits it up hard.

A keary/wighton halves partnership screams points and would give qld nightmares.

Expect Walker to cop all the blame if he doesn't score a double and assist another two try's while Cleary does f**k all
On the plus side, if QLD win game 2, we might see Junior Paulo in the halves for game 3 dead rubber for shits and giggles... That'd boost ratings too fo sho!

Gutho should only be picked if Tedasco gets injured. There is a big difference between Turbo as an athlete who can play anywhere to players who only play well in their preferred posistions. Steve Crighton should come in and either keary/walker halves or keary/wighton. Nothing against Nathan who is a good player but other players are more consistant in big games at the moment.

Dont agree with the decisions by Fitter

Keary was not the issue, for mine he was much more involved than Cleary. Cleary brings a kicking game or nothing, and he didn't have that in game 1

Walker can be a fantastic impact player off the bench as he proved. Giving him free reign on both sides of the ruck really opened up the attack as well

Stuck at 5/8 for 80 minutes he will just get drained in defence once again and his attack will suffer. Walker will win you a game in 20 minutes, not 80

Lack of changes to the outside backs overlooks the major issues that were evident there this week.

Bench looks good though and Brown will be a great substitute for Murray's ability to add energy to the team

Well funnily enough 2 guys you left out should have been there for mine. Koro would have been fine at hooker and on form my back rowers would have been Angus Crichton & Liam Martin

Liam fell away to end the year (much like Nathan). He might get there next year if he maintains his mid year form
