Just on the Knights, that's a culture defining effort.

No Ponga, Pearce, Brailey, Watson.

Just an awesome effort. Just shows how heart & effort will always be the most important qualities on a footy field.
We had no Edwards, Cleary, Nadan and Martin. Also our halves needed to play smarter at times as we for most of the time lacked cohesion. But that bombed try by Mansour should see him dropped for next week.

Now Knights, that was gutsy as hell. So if you’re feeling a little off next week, maybe can’t quite put the same effort or intensity in, that’s ok. Nobody will think any less of you.

Just how good is Rugby League it's back baby

Well done to the Knights on a courageous performance. So many players on debut and their on field leaders off injured but they manage to dig in superbly well and get at least 1 point from it. They should be very proud of themselves.
Absolute cracking game. As a neutral I was hoping the Knights snared the win considering their game plan was thrown into disarray after all that happened in the first half. Welcome back RL.

Yes, but did you lose any of them during the first 10 minutes of the game and had to play for 80 minutes with a two man bench?

No? Then shut the f**k up

Naden was dropped wasn’t he? Edwards, seriously? Him being out is a positive for you. Never heard of Martin.

No excuses. Kikau disappeared and, as usual when that happens, you got nothing.

Yes but Newcastle lost 2 of those players early in the game, so it was virtually 15-16 v 17 for much of the game. In those circumstances you'd expect Penrith, having a full 17 would win it handily just by attrition alone. They had all the field positions, made lots of yards, but had very little creativity on display.

Burton is ok but he's no Kurt Mann
Burton and Luai both got hyped up as being immortals by some Panthers fans and replacing Cleary after strong debuts. As if one game can predict a career one way or the other.

Likewise after a handful of bench games Luai was written off completely by most. No one seems happy to let players come in develop.

Panthers coaches are guilty of the same shit. Develop players for a few seasons then start from scratch again because of the potential of others.

At the same time we keepguys who have been irrelevant for 5+ years due to their experience. Mansour and Whare have been on downward trajectories for years. Yet they stay and we let the guys on upward trajectories go

We deserved to lose due to our lack of urgency. Amazing effort by the Knights with a 2 man bench. We should have won by 20+ but we’re just too predictable. I know we are unbeaten but our lack of attacking imagination makes us very frustrating to watch.

Knights deserved to feel proud of that effort. Panthers. f**king pathetic in all honesty. Knights were down for the count with injuries. This should have been a blowout. Chokes don't get much worse than this.
thats right, thats what i said, panthers should have had a blowout
