2020 Rabbitohs Rumours, Signings and News

That would truly shock me if true and would be pleasantly surprised.
I posted on the main board - I don't fear Souths signing him, i fear the salary they'll pay him.
Then have no fear Trav. He wants to come to us because all the players he idolised as a kid were all Rabbitohs and he loves the club. Who else would be game enough to the Bunny-Ears after they score a try for Souths,' fiercest rivals?

Souths already have three centres to fill two positions. Why spend up to a million on another who is just as likely to disappear to the bush for a week as he is to put in a shift?

If $650k is about right for Cody then that is the max I'd pay for Latrell.
If he was our left centre in 2019 we would have let through a lot less tries

Latrell Mitchell rejected $800k a season at the Chooks — but he may settle for that at Souths: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...s/news-story/2d036d7d09275dcff3c7bde7bd4d94e7

I just have this feeling that not signing Latrell, or at least trying to, could be a huge missed opportunity and a massive mistake. That's why I'm all for it. The kid is already a superstar and one of the best players in the comp. The closest thing to GI out there. Yes, he has a bit of an issue with attitude but that might all (hopefully) change at Souths under Wayne if he came. A fresh start is exactly what he needs in my opinion.

At $800k, I'm all for it and I can't really see why any Souths fan wouldn't be the same. Personally, I'll jump for joy if I get a members email sometime saying he's signed with us.

Huge mistake not to sign him. Just one call away Richo.

Where's this Arrow bloke from the Titans? I'll tell you what, if Souths can't get his signature on the paper by Christmas, he won't be here at all. Everyone can sit around and wait for him, but for me it's a bit like the second coming of big J. Why we are waisting our time on him amuses me. I don't think he's anywhere near as good as Sam Burgess. Not from what I've seen anyway. I just finished watching all of his 2019 performances and I wasn't so impressed in him like others were. You can't buy the ball off him, let alone get a popup pass. He comes in on the side to hit when there's already someone in there tackling. We need him as much as we need Mavis Branston.

From all reports Arrow is already signed for 2021 it’s just working out whether or not he’s coming here in 2020.

I saw those before so I watched his games. Sam Burgess was badly injured this year. Go back to his previous years and have a look at that. Made more metres than most of the backs.

To be honest i don't argue that. A fit Sam Burgess was fantastic and had very few peers at his level.
Unfortunately a fit Sam Burgess is no longer an option.
Whoever comes in to the club and plays in Sam's place shouldn't be viewed as his replacement. The club can't replace a player like Sam. Or GI. Or Churchill.
For what it's worth, i actually view Liam Knight as Sam's successor in terms of being an enforcer.
