Justin Olam late bloomer I would expect him to improve on the potential he has shown in last two seasons. Bellamy must be confident he is the real deal after allowing Scott and Chambers to leave.

Obviously they all say Mansour but interesting to see Spencer Lenui mentioned as being strong and fast.

Kings of the gym: NRL players reveal the strongest men at every club

PANTHERS

In the words of Josh Mansour:

“We’re all put in categories, so with my weight ratio I’m doing well in that.

“Viliame Kikau is a beast. He got me the other day. We did bench press. I got two (reps) at 150kg and he got three at 152kg - which is to be expected - the guy’s a dinosaur!

“Jack Hetherington is such an explosive human. He’s lifting big numbers, especially with deadlifts, and Liam Martin as well. There are a few strong guys, Jimmy Tamou as well.”

In the words of Api Koroisau:

Josh Mansour is super strong for his weight and his size but the king of the gym it probably is Spencer Leniu... huge butt.

“He’s so powerful. I reckon he’s quicker than me over 10-20 metres. That base is huge - he’s just so strong. I rate him so much, he’s going to be a real prospect.”

In the words of Nathan Cleary:

“Josh Mansour is always breaking records. He loves his rig so he lives in the gym.”

Just got back from Bathurst this afternoon, was up there for a couple of days playing golf and attending race meeting yesterday. Wore my most recent Panther black media polo at the races and around town last night. I was amazed how many people stopped me to ask how we are going go this season. At the pub I was staying the same thing everyone wanted my opinion, all Panthers fans excited for the new season. Maybe the Central West partnership has been a positive thing. The only downside was I expressed the view I thought our best outcome is finishing between 5th to 8th which for the most part didn’t seem to go down to well.

I really believe there is a high quality NRL player in Jack Hetherington and yes he probably has to curb his natural exuberance but that will come with experience and leadership from the coaching staff and senior players.

He has all the talent to play for Australia and NSW, its all about attitude for Jack. He could be great next year if he has sorted it.

I agree, big, strong, mobile, fast, has an offload. He certainly has all the positive attributes if he gets his head in the right space. Off the grog to apparently which should help his cause.

The central west is a great partnership for us imo. Awesome to hear there are a lot of fans out there.

You won't find many who disagree with you. He never lacked the skills and I agree with @betcats that he'll be in with a shot for rep footy if he gets a good amount of game time/development.

The only position that is stacked is Fullback. It is the changing of the guard across the game so this statement isn't as out there as it would be normally

When I said to the publican at the Knickerbocker Hotel where we were staying I thought we were capable of scraping into the top 8 he nearly bit my head off. He was much more positive than I and apparently there has been a lot of promotional visits from some of the players up there and the mood is really positive. I had no idea we are playing the Sharks at Carrington Park, Bathurst this year but everyone in the pub did and are so looking forward to it.

5th-8th is a decent enough year. I think most will take that especially as we have a side on the up. That partnership was probably the best decision of modern times
