Grant gets 3rd best hooker. That is a key category. I'd rather a quality hooker over nearly every other position. It's definitely as important as any position other than the rest of the spine and even then I don't see hooker as being less important than all those spine spots.

I also think our pack is building nicely but yep we lack some quality in our team.

Nothing else that you stated has anything at all to do with my initial post. You probably need to take some chill pills or something. Go and smoke a joint or do something to relax.

I didn't mention Brooks or Benji or anything like that. You make a good point in that we seem to have a shitty spine. I think we need to target back line players period and especially spine players. I think you also mention the salary cap although I don't know why. If we have a bunch of money available which I hope we do we should be very careful with blowing it. Building a team isn't easy.

and this is where I came in after reading that a few times, - you'd rather a quality hooker over nearly every other position, so I used other positions and names, e.g. Brooks but you countered it with 'it's definitely as important as any position other than the rest of the spine' so besides Brooks I mentioned Marshall and Reynolds.

One thing IMO and it certainly is my opinion, is that I read comments a few times to make sure I get it, you stated

You have a certain style, bordering on the incoherent, that is puzzling at times. That is not the reader’s fault.

FTR I think hooker is a vital position but I agree with Old Timer...halfback is our weakness and the reason we haven’t played finals in the better part of a decade.

A lot of fuss about nothing ...I got the gist of it (who writes proppa English on the fly around here anyway, not me)...We did pretty well the last few weeks even with bye bye Brookes and reused Reynolds playing. Why, coz we had a good hooker. So “Hooker is the most important position” that’s reasonable. Weather it’s right or wrong who knows but Id rather hear opinions esp with the tough topics which that is. & “The spine positions are the most important positions” I’ll go along with that ...

Interesting topic - which is the most important position of the spine and u can only pick one. Depends on how good the players are, but if all of equal quality. ??? All we have is opinions. And the more the merryer imo
