This is harsh on Burrow, lol (him getting hit, I mean).
The problem wasn't the 1st round pick (Chase is awesome obviously) - it was the failure in day 2 to then go find guys who could contribute... they were there. Instead they picked Jackson Carman and Ossai. Sam Cosmi went a few picks after Carman, and they had a third and 3x 4th rounders so could easily have traded back up into the end of the 2nd for Creed Humphrey. Those two guys would've made this a very good line in year 1. But shit decision making around the OL is characteristic of the Bengals... their OC's dad is the best OL coach in the league and they didn't even bother to make a move for him when Washington let him go a couple of years ago. Not to mention prematurely dissassembling their great OL from the early/mid-Dalton era and replacing them with shit players.
The Titans drive before that... their OC is so awful. Why get tricky on 3rd and a half? Just QB sneak it. Shouldn't matter that you've been told to go for it on 4th down. Hell, that just gives you a second chance, if needed, to sneak it over.
