Honestly think the ship has passed on this.

Will be missing Burton, Capewell, May, Naden and likely Koroisau (unvaccinated).

Will be a bit of a fizzer if you ask me.
Yeah not quite the same as the bus turning up at the club with everyone running on adrenalin after an amazing grand final win.

You’d like to think that clubs who have our GF players will allow them to attend.
According to Fox Sports.com, Capewell has been given permission from Broncos to attend the parade.
Heard a rumour that Ivan Cleary will be doing a karaoke rendition of Supertramp "Take the long way home." as well a limited screening of "Rabbit Proof Fence" on the big screen.

As it stands now our roster 2022 is average. We have came well back to the pack. No chance we go back depending on what signings are made for 2023 it could be 4 or so years before we even push for a comp win.

Combine with no footy for so long and it will have a decent turnout

As for the no footy for such a long time. Penrith did OKish in getting the kds into the system......May, Tago etc. No other club had anyone playing flegg or cup either. So it will be the same across the board.

in 2022 we still have our spine, subject to Api getting jabbed.

We will be fine if not better. Capewell, Burton, Mom 2 out of the bargain bins outside the rugby league shop. Plenty more where they came from

Q cup was on so we are behind all the QLD teams, Warriors and Melbourne as they had guys playing

Very few teams go back to back in normal seasons. Let alone coming off last year.

As for running top 4 Depends on injuries. Less depth this year.

Lets assume Tago does start centre

Bench of

Kenny
Leinu
Sorensen
??

Need to cover an injury in the backs but also don't want to lack a forward on there too.

Last year Capewell solved that issue
Burton had the halves covered
Lets not forget the 6 or 7 positions May covered in mid game.

I just don't see the talent in the un signed list to keep us up there. We make the top 8 easily but whether we stay in front of Roosters or Parra is the question

point me to these bargains?

Okish but not great.
We have to cover 2 premiership winning centres
A Origin backrower
A 14 that could cover any position so you could do what you want with the bench.

Say Martin or Kiks gets injured. Who is the next up?
Or Edwards go down mid game. Who covers Crichton when he goes back?

We are further behind the top sides as far as a settled team. Very few decent players on the market

This time last year had many have Mom or Scotty in our first 17. They all now have premiership rings.

If you go back in the Rumoured signings. Plenty of people had Sorensen on the wishlist

As for Momo he wasn't a free agent.
There is a list of the off contract guys and very slim pickings.

Someone signing with Dolphins and the existing club releasing them early is the best shot at improving the side.

Too many holes to fill internally only

I'm with Franklin on this one. No NSW Cup and Flegg hurts us much more than any other club, because we rely on those players pushing up into our Top 30.

Our Top 17 is only slightly weaker, but our depth is severely depleted.

Desperately need a centre and second row, preferably someone with at least 20+ NRL games under their belt.

Then we need to hope our good run of injuries continues.

Top 4 should be achievable, and then it's almost a lottery from there.

I agree with most of this but the quote about not seeing the talent in the unsigned guys. That is undoubtedly true (or else they would be signed) but the skill is in the coaching and recruiting staff identifying and then putting in players into the system that others don’t see value in.

Put it another way; anyone who claims they knew that Scott S would become such a valuable member of the 2020 squad this time last year is either a football genius or a liar; and from my experience there are not too many football geniuses posting on this site!!
