Niukore is very lucky IMO. A Grade 2 careless high tackle for that, could have easily been classified as a shoulder charge to the head.
So Radley makes a nearly identical careless tackle to Fifita a month ago and gets off at the judiciary. Fifita fronts the judiciary to seek a downgrade and gets 2 weeks. Yeah ok NRL.
What a week for the Parra scum. Their biggest star since the 80s goes to jail, Parra are the only club to not comply with covid protocols and their fans making excuses for grubby acts that would make Storm fans get a bulge in their pants. A rancid club from top to bottom. Not too hard to see what he was trying to do. Morris knocked the ball forward into Hutchison's reach. The players didn't chase right away expecting it to be called. The referee calls play on and Brown sprints after Hutchison. As Hutchison dives his right arm hits Brown's right leg and he trips. Off balance his left leg buckles under him and his knee gets Hutchison in the ribs.
No way is it deliberate. It is certainly careless and Brown put himself in a poor position. Unfortunate for Hutchison. Brown deserves some consequences but three weeks seems a bit stiff. Four if he contests the grading.
Not only them but Annesley as well. The hysterical NRL media have been shrieking about high tackles all week, there was never any chance of a downgrade, would have given them another reason to sook.

Lower base points than Kaufusi though, which was treated extremely leniently it must be said. The crackdown has come since. Fifita and the Titans should have read the room and realised they weren't getting off and took the one week. They risked losing him for a game against the bottom team to try to have him against the top team.Pretty astounding to think that the final outcome has been that Fifita’s high shot has resulted in the same amount of weeks off as Kaufusi’s elbow to the head.
I know there is the guilty discount etc. but to even think that Kaufusi’s was only a week worse shows there is something wrong, not to mention his track record.

Not sure how you read anger from that. Just disgust. You seem somewhat troubled. Quick to anger. Hopefully you'll find some peace some day. Not likely on an internet forum though.
Has there been a crackdown? Where do mid season crackdowns sit in terms of consistency?Lower base points than Kaufusi though, which was treated extremely leniently it must be said. Pretty clear there has. Barely a game goes by without at least one charge. The number of charges in round 9 (14) was an all time record. 8 of them involved contact to the head. This is from Graham Annesley.Has there been a crackdown?
Broncos second-rower Jordan Riki is facing a two-match ban for a crusher tackle on Manly's Haumole Olakau'atu on Friday night.
Riki would be suspended for two matches with an early guilty plea but would risk a three-match ban if he unsuccessfully fights the charge at the judiciary.
He was one of three Brisbane players charged from Friday's loss to the Sea Eagles, with the other two – Tevita Pangai jnr and Tyson Gamble – facing fines.
Riki is also facing a fine of $1600 for a separate offence over a charge of making dangerous contact to the head or neck over a tackle on Manly centre Morgan Harper.
Pangai is facing a fine of $2150 (increased due to prior offences) for a grade one careless high tackle on Brad Parker and Gamble is facing a fine of $1150 for a careless high tackle on Reuben Garrick.
