I know there's one game left for a brain snap, but I've really warmed to TPJ. He adds so much to the team in both skill and aggression. I wish we could keep him.

Will need to rewatch that one. Was way to absorbed to really watch objectively and remember who did what.

As a whole though we came out with the attitude of a team after revenge and put Melbourne on tilt. That ferocious start was crucial and you could see the errors creep in and little things that always go their way just not happening. For them to continually shred our line only for someone to cover every time was incredible. The best attacking team in modern history managed 1 arsey try. Wow.

Wow, I was too hyped up to post last night. That last 20 mins were so nerve racking.

Hell of a defensive performance, some might say that Melbourne made a lot of mistakes, but good defence forces mistakes, it forces you take extra risks.

The attack showed signs of improvement, but the last play options still aren’t great. If we can find just an extra 10-20% in attack we’ll be unbeatable.

It was overall a good tough game. I honestly feel this is Penriths time. It is their window. Not to say they won't continue to be strong but Capewell,TPJ and Burton all leave. Juniors will come in but they are big holes to fill.

Not sure you can include TPJ leaving as a big deal, he’s hardly been with us.

Capewell and Burton harder shoes to fill. Crichton will move back to the centres, so it’s actually a wing spot that will be filled.

May looks legit and Staines was good overall. We'll be sweet. Tago is also a centre at this stage

I‘m not too concerned, but in the end we probably should’ve pushed harder to keep Burton. Offered him the Staines money, and a shot at fullback.

We've gotten through the toughest games of the season with Burton being very quiet. I would have loved to keep as I think he'd be an atg at this club, but he's hardly been essential to this point.

Capewell is a bit different. He's drifted in an out of form too but when the chips were down yesterday he stood up big time.

He was pretty essential when he went to left centre originally. Played a huge role in the attack. His downturn in form is probably linked somewhat to Luai being quieter.

Burton obviously wouldn’t have stayed here to play centre long term, though. He would’ve at least needed FB.

Which is why defence wins big games. Having 4 or 5 at 80% affects the attack more than defence
