Penrith are under the pump. Star fullback Dylan Edwards is out and potentially Moses Leota. Losing 2 starters within 24 hours before kick off is devastating for any NRL team. Especially when it effects the spine.

Do they have what it takes to defeat the South Sydney Rabbitohs? Tune in at 7.50pm AEST to find out.

We will be fine. Edwards in a great act of self sacrifice donated the last remnants of his chin to Nathan to further increase his super powers.

Agree

Bennett is the exact type of coach you want in this situation.

Think this will be very tight with panthers just getting over the line.
I disagree think Penrith are far to predictable ,just hope ref doesn't treat Cleary as protected species and miss his forward passes and shoulder charges ,go sths

I don't understand all the talk about Mitchell missing and Taafe's inexperience under the Cleary high-ball. Firstly, Mitchell is probably one of the worst FB's under a high-ball. He was part of the back 3 who was bamboozled by Cleary a couple of weeks ago. Secondly, Taafe's FB positioning is much better and most likely to get to the ball better than Mitchell did.

Obviously, Mitchell is going to give you that impact in attack that no other player apart from Trbo can probably replicate, but he has been a defensive liability throughout his stint at FB.

Ultimately, this isn't going to be won or lost by the Souths FB. It'll be determined in the middle, and it's been shown repeatedly that Souths cannot measure up to Penrith or Melbourne in this department. When Souths forwards end up standing still, then Walker cannot do what he does. On the other side, Penrith's middle will end up dominating to allow Cleary to pull on the strings
I'm sure Cleary will get away with forward passes shoulder charges ,think he will have a bit of trouble if ref does his job ,IV seen him get away with things that others would have been in bin

Ivan finally comes to his senses.

You cannot win a comp with a bum like Edwards at the back.

Whilst I'd agree he's not a premium fullback, he is very consistent and fits the structure well. My concern tonight is the right edge.

Crichton isn't a huge talker and Edwards organises well.

Staines is the biggest worry today.

I think tonight will be a cracker. Not expecting a win but I don't think it will be the landslide everyone is predicting.

There's only 2 possible ways this will go: Either Souffs grind out a typical Bennettball finals win, or Penrith go completely apeshit and put 30 on
