Pretty ugly game. Penrith did really well to get up. They have to put Burton in the halves until Cleary is back, May is trash.

Almost felt sorry for Moses at the end of the game. Definitely felt bad for Opacic though the poor bloke deserved a win after the day he had.

May is trash, who at Newcastle would he be best compared to?

I thought Moses had a great opportunity to shut up the fans who call him a downhill skier however he couldn't come up with the big play

Penrith were there to be beaten

It looked like Moses rushed that kick attempt. The better players / kickers would have taken a lot more time.

In my opinion the difference was at number 9. Penrith were in a position to win with a field goal because they have a top 3 number 9 who manufactured both of their tries by exploiting tired/lazy middles. Parra had a reserve grade plodder playing 9, and were only in a position to win the game due to the kicking game of the mental plodder who missed the kick.

Don't watch much football huh? Close scores and inept performances from both sides don't mean the game was good.

It was close due to defence. Parra completed 80%. Panthers 78% in slippery conditions

1st half Pathers had 45%. The bottom sides are down 18-0 at that stage and everyone is whinging about blowouts.

Parra made a couple of try savers on Kikau. Another RCG cleaned up a kick infield that was going to be a try.

Panthers too stopped a few tries. It was an old fashioned arm wrestle that people are crying out for

Game 3, series wrapped up.

Honestly this sounds like the downhillest of downhill slopes for Mitch.

It would be hilarious to see him lawd it over some of those Qld players on the back of Tommy, Latrell and Teddy's coattails.

Yeah, definitely a good, tough game. I enjoyed watching it & particularly liked Mitchoker's origin play right on the bell.

All he did last night, in a tough game, was get rid of the ball as fast as possible either by passing to someone or kicking it. He never took the line on. If he gets picked for Origin I'll be cheering for QLD. And hoping that Munster kicks him.

Both sides especially Parra can take quite a bit out of last night's match. Being involved in a tight arm wrestle bides a team better than hammering sides week in week out without having ones defense seriously tested out.

We'll have to wait and see whether or not this bites the Storm on the bum.

Last night showed that Penrith need Cleary desperately. They won't be dong much in the finals if they have to rely on Tyrone 'Video' May to run the show.

Keep Cleary out for the rest of the season and bring him back first week of finals if that's what they have to do. Have that shoulder ready. They'll get past every other team from Roosters down without him, but they'll struggle against Parra, Souths and Melbourne. And it's not just his attack. He sets the tone and repeats those high-intensity accelerations over and over again on the right edge (as Luai does on the left) as 3-man with his line speed.

He had 11 runs for 70 metres, what game were you watching? His opposing halfback had 3 runs for 9 metres.
