We have been in tight games lately and this may well be another. They've got Turbo firing and he's lifted their whole team but we get Api back and with all respect to Mitch Kenny who has done a great job filling in, it's a big boost for us.

If the Panthers play to their ability I believe they will win this comfortably. I think they have too much firepower for the Sea Eagles.

Beating up on the struggling Wests Tigers team did not impress me, whist yes it was a good win against the Titans. However it will take more good performances before I would lock Manly in as a "competition heavyweight" for 2021 just yet.

However if the Panthers players turn up expecting a win, and take it easy, Manly have the ability to beat them.

Yesterday Manly beat a side that have conceded 31 points per game.
Last week they beat a side that have conceded 22 points per game.
Now they play a side that have conceded 6 points per game.

Based on the trend that all three opposition you mentioned have conceded points, are you saying Manly will inevitably beat Penrith?

What I'm saying is Manly face a strong defence this game whereas they faced pussycats in the last two games.

Not saying we'll win because we won't, and won't get close. But you need to give credit where credit is due, Titans were cruising along well (conceding 15ppg) until Manly popped their bumcheeks apart. Not too different to what Storm/Parra the next two best defensive sides (After Smugz) sit at.

Manly have improved heaps, they've got too many good players not to. One player should never make all the difference though.

These Panther boys have a long association with Tommy, going back to the 2015 Under 20s GF. Turbo was the Player of the Year but they never got close to a Panthers side missing Nathan who was playing for Australian Schoolboys. That GF side had Edwards, Luai, Fisher-Harris, Leota and May who will play in this match, as well as Naden, Robert Jennings and Soni Luke who are in Panthers unbeaten reserve grade side. Also Corey Harawira Naera and Kaide Ellis who are now at other NRL clubs. Manly had Turbo Tom, as well as Jesse Ramien, Liam Knight, Luke Garner and Nicho Hynes.
Thankfully I recorded everything Panthers on Fox, especilly that game.

f**k me Panthers fans are insufferable lately.

The delusions of grandeur are strong. Imagine getting offended that some pundits are picking the opposition to give them a run or god forbid win the game.
Changing of the guard. Out with the old, faded and broken down. In with the new record breaking entertainers.

With the return of Api, the attack and defense in the forwards will tighten up immensely. Overall, the Panthers are a much better performing side, and I honestly can't see how we get beaten.

My only concern is that Bradley Parker has been a little quiet of late and he’d love nothing more than to silence the doubters by putting in a mammoth performance.
