Gotta say, I like Reyno's attitude. Despite confirmation he is indeed departing next year, he is still all about Souths and all about winning it in 2021. Really wants to go out on a high. That speaks volumes of the kind of person he is.

It is not right. Reyno looks shattered. Solly said Reyno wouldn’t get 3 years elsewhere to me and Dad and we said mark our words he will.

I think Souths thought he’d stay for the one year. I think Solly will regret it.

Of course Reyno spoke well he didn’t want to leave but Souths didn’t give him much choice or leeway at all.

Reyno will play on Saturday as well through the pain strapped and needles up as that’s the kinda bloke he is. They don’t come much tougher than Reyno he may get knocked down but he is never out!

He will greatly be missed but he will leave me and the family with many happy memories and spine tingling moments.

it seems from posts here and on social media, a lot of people are still blaming South’s. He had an offer and didn’t want it, and it’s all well and to say “give him 3 years”, but what happens when we can’t resign someone like Cameron Murray or Cambell or Latrell because we don’t have cap space and we folded to members and fans etc and we start losing players? How will people feel then?

I wish Adam the best on his next chapter in his career, but just remember he chose to go.

I think I saw Mad Bunny on the highway hitching a ride to Brisbane! At the end of the day Reynolds made his decision right or wrong time will tell. However, I cannot wait till we see Taafe in action. I don't like Bennet having any interaction on players leaving, this is dangerous, he influenced Adam for sure! I am not sure what my feelings will be this Saturday with Reynolds. I would like to know however the new coach's feeling losing a star halfback. He has been very quiet, too quiet. Souths looked after Reynolds pretty well and Rabbits 20 must realize he did not play for free. There is more to this than meets the eye.

I wasn't the one that raised the name of DCE and I think Brandon Smith is off contract at seasons end that's why I mentioned him as a possibility.

You and others did your best to keep him and we all followed his movements very closely.

As you know I was one of the most outspoken fans of the game to call for his retention.

I said he was about the best player of 560 players and that his true value was many many times over his asking price. I would have let go of any other player than Renno and I said that many times. I was even ok with the torch the membership folk.

But Footy is a tough mistress. She takes and takes. And everyone wears it because of the stratospheric highs that can be reached.

The battle for Renno is over. We lost.

Your dad and you have fallen with many other heroes here today. The best of your forum. The best. You’ve gone together, that’s what counts. No one blinked, you should be proud.
