it seems from posts here and on social media, a lot of people are still blaming South’s. He had an offer and didn’t want it, and it’s all well and to say “give him 3 years”, but what happens when we can’t resign someone like Cameron Murray or Cambell or Latrell because we don’t have cap space and we folded to members and fans etc and we start losing players? How will people feel then?

I wish Adam the best on his next chapter in his career, but just remember he chose to go.

I wasn’t saying 3 years should’ve been a 2 year guaranteed offer.

The fact Reyno was so far down the list of priorities sickens me.

Ill say it again, bennett influenced reyno,instead of influencing him to sign the yearly deal like he did with thiaday and parker, he directed him to the broncos,were im thinking he will go for 1 year if the new team comes on line, and if it dosent watch him be coaching director, the great bennet,all for him,probably influencing sua and gagai as well. Bennet never leaves a team in better condition than when he had it,1 reason i never wanted him to coach us,the reason the club negotiated with players and recruits and didnt leave it up to him.
He will screw us before he goes,guaranteed,unfortunately

Good recruitment by Souths. Reynolds was the recipient of a generous 5 year contract from Souths last time and he failed to deliver a premiership in those 5 years. Time for Souths to move on. Taaffe looks worth the gamble and there is a good chance he can add the x factor that delivers premierships

I think it's inaccurate and unfair to blame Adam for the last 3 years. In fact his performances in the finals series kept us afloat, and have been everything we expected and maybe more, such as that StGeorge game.

We've already had this discussion on the board's here before. You could point to a number of other players where your statement is applicable. Damien Cook for one example....

After garnering 3m dollars in his last contract and whatever before that, i would have stayed loyal, so he didnt sign for more money in the end he signed for 2 more years, which he would have got if he stuck around,and a job after his playing days, but you see it was never his intention to stay in sydney after he finished playing, was to go to Qld, so this played into his hands,hence taking the lower money at the broncos,who also happen to have a better team than cronulla and im sure he will cop some endorsement dollars as well

There is a suggestion that a 2 year deal was indeed tabled to AR after the hoo hah started and it was rejected.
