Southy, im fanatical, i sit here all day searching for news, i have a person in the club who calls me and we talk, this bit i read on one of the news items, my friend tells me a month ago he didnt want to leave, but he is being chased by at least 3 other clubs, he is being coersed and pestered from within, offers of 500 for 3 years, the broncos i dont know how much have offered but have tried repeatedly to plunder and steal our attack and success, and im sorry to say weve let them.
By stuffing the cap,by buying substandard players,eg cartwright,marsters, etc who are discards and not worth even 2nd grade, knight who has been useless, has caused a downgrade and loss of quality in our squad. Now next year looks bleak, trying for bargains eg woods to replace mago, isnt happening,our recruitment is diabolical
Its our own fault.
Now offering year by year to 30s players will only stop players coming and make existing ones leave, the stupids in charge have screwed us.
Im not happy

I looked at that sharks forward that plays off the bench and though he would be great is it wilson?

I cant believe JD has sat there letting this happen knowing he will be in charge with a much reduced squad, would it not have been better to shift knight 500k, find replacements for some of our replacements,our reserve grade won 1 game this season our depth is garbage,we need to fix this

Six up and comers signed and there is Murray, Cook, Mitchell, AJ, Campbell, Keon, Burgess, Milne, Benji, Cody etc. yet we are still in trouble?

Cap issues have to be separated from waiting for the right marquee

SuA goes missing 90% of the time and no loss

Gags is ok but nowhere near his best anymore

Hate me if you want but maybe Brandy has a point about Reyno, we are not putting teams away like Storm, Penrith and Manly so I think a change is required

Totally agree with you about the doom merchants, but with regards to not putting teams away, I would think 46 against the Broncs,38 against Wests and 46 against the cowboys over the last month qualifies as putting teams away.

I dont hate, perhaps your right, maybe a reload is whats required, sua im disappointed with,i really liked his mongrel, but yes has gone missing,i would have loved useing his money trying to pinch a liam martin.
Yes i get frustrated, and pessimistc,a fault of mine, maybe its not all bad and the players not putting in go, i still say recruitment is garbage

I remember when Brandy was speaking about this. He said he would have offered a two year deal to Adam, but, if it correct about not being able to afford it in the cap, and if he had choose only one of the two, he'd take Cody over Adam because he felt Cody was more instrumental in getting the Souths attack going, his individual skills, and ability to read and change was greater than Adam's impact. I remember also Anasta agreeing with Brandy, and thought Cody was the one of most importance to the Souths attack.

I only hope Cody gets more than a one year offer next year, he's easily been our best this year, and I think he can easily play on for another 2 years after next year with similar impact. There just isnt many, if any, players that can do what he does.

I'm sure there have been games where the Storm should have run up a bigger score but didn't. Point is you just don't point to those instances to form your opinion, you look at the totality of evidence available.

Rugby League's worst kept secret confirmed. It's a real shame to lose Jaydn to be honest. It's not so much a shame because we're actually losing him, it's more a shame that he didn't live up to the hype at our club and we've seen no value in keeping him, that's the part that sucks. Things were looking great for him heading into this year but he completely fell off the cliff and has done nothing since so I'm not too upset about him going.

Yeah, but as Callmack was alluding to, if we've already lost Reyno and SuÁ then we should have more flexibility to work with.
