I've always thought its about the dominance of the fowards, or lack of dominance of our forwards.

If you look at Melbourne and Roosters premierships, our current backline easily matches up to those lineups, but our fowards don't. Cook went missing in those 3 PF, Sam was busted in the first, and we haven't had an equivalent replacement for the other 2, the front row doesn't compare to Melbourne, only Murray is the stand-out. Arrow was Sam's replacement but he is hardly comparable, Sua disappeared in those last 2 PF, and disappears against every really big forward pack, Tatola is hardly the definition of "dominant" forward, Knight was only good when his contract was up waiting to be renewed, Cartwright is garbage, there's just no comparison. Even if you compare our pack in 2014 to the packs that made up the last 3 PF, the 2014 pack is way above the others.

The problem has never been Reynolds or Cody or the backs, it's the fowards and lack of dominance compared to those other teams.

Please no deadwood so like Woods or Fifita.
The cryptic breaveheart from Titans has got me.. I usually pick up ur tips 😆
I wouldn’t mind the Mexican Homeboy from up there though !!!

what’s your mail on Gagai staying? I think it should be our priority.. not many options out there otherwise

Sam McIntyre?
I wasn’t given names for Sharks but 2-3.

Lets go back to recent scores then. The same weekend that Souths put 38 on Wests, 4 other teams won by 38 or more. The weekend gone, only two winners scored less than Souths and both won by a bigger margin. This team is primed to go out in straight sets
I think you need to read up on the logical fallacy known as a false equivalence.

Why? Because most "big scores" that Souths have "racked up" in recent wins against weak opposition aren't actually that big when compared to other scores those weeks?

SMH reporting Broncos making a 3 year offer to Gagai.
Souths are offering a one year deal.
They are also saying that if Gagai accepts the Broncos deal, it "might" mean that Milford comes to Souths

A question here: so if Gagai accepts the Broncos deal, does that make him a money-grabbing traitor who sold out the club because he wouldn't back himself on a one year deal? Or does that only apply to Reynolds and no one else?

This will very poor form by the club if we lose all of Reyno, Su’a and Gagai and sign Milford. Is laughable and embarrassing

Wrong. You either didn't read up on it or you failed to comprehend it.
"False equivalence is a type of cognitive bias or flawed reasoning style. False equivalency means that you think (or are told) two things should have equal weight in your decision-making."

In other words - claiming a 2-point win and a 40-point win are both equally wins.

Maybe it's what the front office actually want - i.e. they never planned to keep Adam and Gagai beyond this year, and just offered them scraps to force their hands?

Sua is no loss, especially at the $$$ the Dragons are rumoured to be paying.

So what is the end game in that plan… looks poor form to me especially Gagai given lack of replacements available

I'm not saying its good, just saying that this is all looking like a deliberate plan, and not just a "oops, we didn't get the salary cap right".

Maybe the plan is to start blooding the young'uns like Taafe, Illias, Hawkins until their mistakes like Cartwright, Knight, come off the books, and actually see if these young'uns can cut it.

The two to watch now is Cody and Cook. If I had to call it now, I predict Cook will also get a one year offer, and I'm praying Cody doesn't suffer the same fate. I've already spoken about him, and whether he can play on. After all, Cronk and Benji did, and Benji still is, and is actually useful

Looks like we can expect our team to slide down the table in coming years then

Maybe.
Maybe not
Maybe short term yes
If these young'uns break out?

Remember we thought the sky was falling in when we decided to flick Sandow and put in some young guy most never heard of called Reynolds.

IMO we really need to find a marquee forward like Sam if we really wanna compete. Maybe two of them.

Let me break it down for you. I'll keep it as simple as possible just for you.
How many competition points do you get for a 2 point win ? Answer - 2 points
How many competition points do you get for a 40 point win? Answer - 2 points
Since 2=2 then they are indeed equal in terms of reward. See how that works?
