Wighton 6, Moses 7, Api 14.
Hynes into the extended squad for Graham which is nothing unusual. The reserves usually are selected from clubs with the bye.

I get the halves selections, Fittler wasn't going to drop Wighton, him and Daley seem to have some fascination with him. Then the media push to get Moses in the side was vomit stuff.

But dropping Campbell when he his playing better and better is very disappointing

I've been concentrating on the mind-numbingly stupid selection of Moses and almost forgot to mention Campbells dropping. Fittler really has NFI. At least our boys can now concentrate fully on winning us No. 22.

Screw origin I’m stoked we have Campbell playing for us this Friday v the Ciwboys.

Also we have Cody and Reyno still. My mind isn’t on origin really just for no injuries and what we need is all hands on deck for this Friday Night this is where my focus lies back at home we are yes no crowd but we can all fire up get on our feet and send the boys positive vibes and energy.

IN FACT SCREW ORIGIN 3 BRING ON YOU MIGHTY RABBITOHS ON FRIDAY. Parra have a bye so we need to win to keep in 3rd after just grabbing 3rd lets not let that slip away in a hurry!

Moses over Renno? Like trading in a Ferrari for a 20 year old Kia….before they learned to build good cars.

no Cody either…?

Fitlers got brain damage from his grog monster era. Patted one lama too many

Reminds me of when Merritt was overlooked for almost his whole career.

These guys play footy together week in and week out. No combo work, it’s all done.

NSW might get toweled up here.

NSW Blues Origin III team - Moses, Wighton get halves gig: https://www.nrl.com/news/2021/07/04/nsw-blues-origin-iii-team/

Once again, congrats to Trell, Cam and Cookie on being picked, very proud of them!

I think Reyno, Cody and Campbell should feel very hard done by to miss out and I am amazed that Wighton and Moses have been picked over our halves in particular. Gutted for them personally but oh well, it's certainly better for our team as we'll have them all playing on Friday which is a big boost.

Absolutely agree with you, never have I given a flat flying f%ck about origin, just a game where millions of dollars of contracted Souths players' health and wellbeing is risked so that a tv station can reap advertising revenue.

big hit!

Settle down fellas. Campbell hasn’t been dropped. The squad reserve is for fringe rep players who’s NRL club have a bye. Souths had a bye for Game 1 and there was a competition-wide bye for Game 2. This is why Campbell and Keon got the gig Game 1. Souths have a game on Friday and it’s unnecessary and unfair to Souths to have Graham in Blues camp not guaranteed to play.

In contrast, Melbourne played in lead up to Game 1, but have the bye for Game 2 and 3. It’s why Finucane replaced Keon as a reserve for Game 2 and now Hynes has replaced Graham for Game 3.

re halves, Freddy is rewarding the guys who have been in his squad all series. Wighton moves into the starting team, and Api into the 17. Parra don’t play this week so it’s not illogical to bring in Moses at halfback. It may be harsh personally on Cook and Reynolds, but it’s a dead rubber, they have a game during the week, and Souths already have large representation in origin. Freddy’s actually doing Souths a favour for the run home.

Origin is good and bad but definately risky.

I agree with Gus that we don’t seem to get the enormous quality of overseas players and we should look at expanding the selection criteria.

Without them, it’s always going to be a 75% er.

Blow outs are a joke at this level.

That's why the focus should be on growing the international game. Imagine Australia v NZ broadcast nationally on a Wednesday night in the middle of the season, Tonga v Samoa on a Tuesday night, PNG v Cook Islands on a Thursday. State of Origin should be what the title suggests. Anything more than that only weakens any chance of the international game actually being respectable.

The darker side of the game noted.

Plenty of snouts in the trough.

Maroons Origin III team - Hamiso to debut, Ponga back, Fifita off to judiciary: https://www.nrl.com/news/2021/07/05/queensland-maroons-origin-iii-team-hamiso-to-debut-ponga-back/

Gagai and Arrow back in Queensland colours: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/2021/07/05/gagai-and-arrow-back-in-queensland-colours/

Once again, huge congrats to Gags and Jai for retaining their spots, a huge achievement. Hopefully this game goes a bit better for them.

A much better side for Queensland though that I feel, if they can get it together, could ask some questions of NSW.

If you're in the mood for a good laugh you should check out the Parramatta Forum that's out there (not the one here on LU but an independent one)(hint I can't name it but it's name refers to having only a single organ on your face where you normally have 2). They have a thread about Reyno on there and the crap they are posting is beyond moronic. I know Pawa fans aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer, but even taking that into account this thread is something else. I eagerly await Origin 3 and Moses failing badly so I can see what these imbeciles offer up as excuses as to why he couldn't do the job. The big question is does Pawa attract low IQ types or does supporting Pawa diminish your intelligence? The only thing Pawa fans are qualified talking about is winning Wooden Spoons, that's the one thing they are really good at.

Years of old boys clubs making Australia dominant.

If an Australian player wants to pledge allegiance to another country that’s ok by me.

Millions of Australians are from overseas anyway. We can spare a few lessor players to help struggling countries.

A few tweaks and Samoa has a lethal side.

It would be a lot better.

Multinationals who run the world, they are stateless anyways!
