Happy Origin day everyone!! The third and final game for the year.

People can call it a dead rubber, call it whatever you want, but I believe there's no such thing as a dead rubber in Origin. It's a huge event and winning is everything so Queensland will throw absolutely everything they can into this. They won't want to be the first Queensland side in 20 odd years to lose 3-0, not to mention losing all three at home. Adding to that, is the fact that there's potentially jobs on the line for the future for both players and staff so there's no much on the line tonight.

For NSW, this game means everything to them too I'm sure. If they whitewashed the series with every game being in Queensland, that would put them up there with the greatest NSW sides of all time. If they were to lose, it'd feel a bit hollow so this is super important for them too.

I'm making a night of it again, got tomorrow off work and am having plenty of beers with mates while watching.

No such thing as a dead rubber. For the last time this year, in the words of Gus Gould, enjoy your Origin Football!

Callmack, for the first time ever I'll be cheering for Qld. tonight. I want Fittler to rue picking Moses over Reyno and Cody. It's going to feel strange, but thanks to Fittlers stupidity I have no choice.

Not only Moses, but Wighton. So what he scored a try? They lost, because the kicking game was crap, the outside backs starved off the ball, Latrell and To'o starved, the only time they ran was from kick returns, or on the play the ball after Wighton had been tackled.

Totally agree. I just thought Wighton (while shit) was less shit than Moses. Good thing is that's the one and only time we'll see Moses in a Blues jersey. If you want a good laugh you should check out a certain Eels forum that's out there (not the Eels forum on here). Half of them are proclaiming Moses had a great game and the others are saying he didn't play well because of Cookie not providing good service. It truly is some of the most delusional garbage I've read in a long time.

Fantastic game last night!! It was friggin awesome and man, I enjoyed it so much! Both sides pretty evenly matched and it was a real battle out there, as it should be. Both sides just went at each other and made for a great specticle. This is how Origin should be!!

So happy to see Queensland step up, play with passion, play well, and make a game of it. NSW weren't at their best that's for sure but Queensland did a lot to restore some pride, avoid the whitewash and potentially save some jobs next year.

Our Rabbitohs were all great, they all played well. Particularly Trell and Cam but Gags and Cookie did their jobs too. Loved watching Gags and trell go at it! They're best of mates but they just prove what Origin is all about, anyone wearing the opposite jersey is a sworn enemy, doesn't matter who they are.

So a great night that I really enjoyed, a good way to finish the series. Congrats to NSW on claiming the shield!

I had to go back to that Eels forum to see if what I read there was actually there. Even allowing for the fact these are Eels fans, I didn't think anybody could be that unbelievably stupid. Sure enough all the posts absolving Moses for being useless and blaming Cookies poor dummy-half service were still there. Those idiots really do have the team they deserve and I hope their premiership drought never ends.

That was a great contest that NSW will consider a missed opportunity. Qld gave it all they had and earnt the win but i thought NSW left a lot out there with poor handling at crucial moments.

NSW really missed Cleary's kicking game and direction. DCE was the difference last night IMO. He was the only half who performed.

That could have been easily rectified had Fittler not gone with his Lebanese love-child and picked Reyno and Cody. As long as Fittler is in charge, Qld are going to have a massive advantage over us.
