God I hope Tonga get absolutely flogged too.
Tonga over the last few years have been made from a lot more stern stuff. I hope it carries through to this world cup.....but Im not confident to be honest due to the tournament being in England. On paper, the Tongan spine has some big concerns. Hopefully, the young halfback Katoa plays well.

Another excellent result for Penrith.

A bunch of blokes off contract tanking their value by showing they can't operate outside the system.

2022 was already a great year for the club.

PENRITH.
Got me giggling like a schoolgirl reading the zipped section of a cleo mag.

PENRITH!

Or - hopefully they bomb out spectacularly because it’s a squad of nutless, devious dishonourable cowards who are a disgrace to the sport.

how good are these commentators, though. Can we hire them for the NRL?

Sick of the spuds we have.
What??? I thought they were terrible. For a start they didn't even try and pronounce any names correctly. And once England got on top they became rabid hometown fanbois. Maybe it's a case of any difference appears better? 😉

What a terrible performance by Samoa. Very unexpected.

Honestly, if you are going to take a large chunk out of a successful team and transplant them into another team, anyone with half a brain would take a good hard look at what part those players play in that team and try to replicate it. That doesn't look to have happened. So we saw the inferior Samoa pack wear themselves out in the first 20 minutes taking the ball up when the outside backs should have been doing this. To'o hardly saw the ball. I wonder did the Samoan brains trust look at Panthers games at all? Doesn't look like it.

The thing about last night is they all looked like they wanted to be on the highlight reel. The only time they played with a bit more urgency are the rare times they were in the attacking 20. The one percenters plays were non-existent in that Samoan performance.

Freddy did the same thing.

Pantherball works due to unique players in key positions.

The backs can go one out because Kikau and other speed is out on the left. If the defence bunches up to smash the dummyhalf runner the the ball would go wide and be a clean twenty to thirty metre run and a quick play the ball.

NSW tried it this year in game one and Sims had NFI what to do when the ball got to him early.

Same old same old from Samoa. I stated on here a few months back that they have the most unprofessional administration and coaching staff, and it looks like nothing has changed. They looked sluggish as usual. When Crichton caught that chip kick and saw open space in front of him, there was a chance he could go all the way. But he looked like a pregnant giraffe trying to stride out and he was caught within 5 metres. The boys have been on the buffet line hard all week, you can just tell. Too much chop suey and cocoa rice.

Just look at their coach on the sideline with his hair grown out, wearing the big gold watch. He had a look on his face like "I can't wait until this match is over so I can get to the bar and find a fit young bird to take back to the hotel for a root".

Any team with Milford at halfback is in serious trouble. Luai and Milford are too similar. It will not work.

They won't be making it very far in this WC, and when it's over there will be more calls for the Johns boys and SBW to take over but it won't happen. Samoa are content with what they've got.
