The one on one attempt on their own line and the last tackle hit up at 18 all really cost the Fijians.
Some rough calls but those mistakes contributed more to the loss.

Great defence from fiji....great game...just shame it took till now to have a competitive game

Kikau definitely raked it to begin with but if you think the better side lost you've got rocks in your head.
Fiji got all the penalties in the first 20 minutes- that put them in the game.
Fiji were fantastic, took all their chances but lost nearly every contact!
If the Kiwis were on in attack, it would have been 50 but a lot of 4 tackle hitups and Heus was hurt.

Great game, got to feel for Fiji - what an effort! Best game of the comp so far. Sure, a controversial call on the ball strip but they messed up a few times with chances begging. But you can’t knock them, the full back was outstanding.

I hope that was just a situation where the kiwis got ahead of themselves & were thinking about the semi next week before disposing of Fiji first ... which they almost didn't do

They won't get within 30 of Australia next week with a performance like that otherwise

I thought it was a loose carry but to say that would have been called by the NRL bunker with any confidence is just false; the bunker is a random experience.
