why? Something goes off at the back of the hill and the rush to the front with no safety barriers or things to seperate groups of people is exactly what’s happened elsewhere Leading to deaths.
They can easily spill into the field, unlike the death traps in the UK, prior to the Taylor report.

I’m staggered after the stadium and concert crush deaths in the past Having people packed on grass hills is still considered acceptable at all
Massive difference between the hills at RL grounds and, say. Hillsbourough. Police allowing crowds to force their way forward between chain link fences with no way out doesn't happen here.

Massive difference between hills at Rugby League grounds and terraces at Football grounds in the UK is that Rugby League fans don't really want to beat the shit out of each other unlike so called Soccer fans of UK and Europe.

The problem with Adelaide is that it’s full of South Australians. South Australians are the most narrow minded uninteresting group of people in the South Pacific. Avoid at all costs.

The city itself could be the most uninteresting, dull, boring place in the world.

However Adelaide Oval itself is the one positive.

How much does Shark Park hold at the moment with the works on the Eastern side going on? If it's below 15k, that's not good enough. Campbelltown and Brookvale for example aren't much better, the latter now only holds 18k according to Fox League

Current capacity at Pointsbet is 12,000, maximum allowed under OH&S guidelines for the project

11000 so anything over 9500 is close to a sellout.

It’s people falling in a rush then getting stamped on and crushed that’s the problem. To say it’s never happened so no problem is one of the dumbest things Ive heard on here, and that’s saying something lol

The AFL shook that out of Victorians by 1999, only Mars in Ballarat of all the major venues has a hill and even then, that'll be gone in 4 years for the Commonwealth games
Actually we have never had hills in Melbourne. I can’t think of any old VFL grounds with a grass hill. Plenty of standing room on terraces, but no hills. In fact MCG still has 5k standing room and Marvel 3k (all undercover). Prior to closing all the suburban grounds, you either stood on the terrace, or sat in a grandstand. Most grounds we about half/half. Sitting on a grass hill is winter seems strange - wouldn't you get a wet arse? Melbourne is a little colder, but, given Sydney gets twice as much rain I am surprised that people love hills.

I would be happy with most teams having 15k - 20k high quality suburban grounds (i.e. plenty of cover, amenities and seating) and play 1 or 2 games per year at the bigger venues

I've been listening to sydney fans that long the excuses just seem to come easily these days lol I didnt realise Friday was mothers day as well?
