The Game 2022 Crowd Watch

12 890 and none of your, " they`re making it up " nonsense. I listened to it on the radio and the atmosphere sounded excellent.
I actually attended the game and I highly doubt there was 10k for kick off. It did fill out quite a bit after kick off though.

I'm not saying that the Raiders padded the numbers for this game in particular, there's no way for us to know that alone prove or disprove that, but if you guys honestly believe that none of the NRL clubs pad their numbers out from time to time then you're unbelievably naive.

With the exception of teams that are more or less selling out every game (and thus have no need to pad their numbers), every sport's team, and event in general, pads their numbers out in one way or another at least some of the time. Whether it be dodgy counting methods, including all tickets sold in the attendance figure, papering, etc, etc, or some mix of all of the above, it's a ubiquitous part of the business that happens regularly in all sports.

Brilliant crowd for the panthers game, the atmosphere would have been awesome.

it’s ridiculous, there’s zero reason the game couldn’t ko at 7pm, and actually have a 10min HT so it finished at a reasonable time.

I agree but I think it’s a bit of a lame excuse for crowds, the AFL kicks off around the same as us and their games are much longer.

Looked around 12000 to me. Good crowd at a difficult time slot

17,385 for Manly/Wests.
That would have to be Manly’s biggest crowd at Brooky for some time.
And the fastest sell-out in 10 years, pity the Tigers couldn`t give them a decent contest. Broncos vs. Manly next week, apparently only a handful of tickets left available. Bring it on.

Grandstand looks close to full at Mackay but damn, it's quiet (at least on TV), still, the crowd looks better than if this same game was held at the SCG

It's a shame if that attendance is considered a sellout considering the record crowd at Brooky is over 27000.
f**k OH @ S.
Not saying they should try and squeeze 27000 in there again and I understand that the new Fulton stand has actually reduced capacity, but surely somewhere near 20000 should be a capacity sellout?

Yeah those aisles of fences on the hill are ridiculous. Makes you wonder if the fun police of today actually know how a hill is supposed to work. If it's standing room only you could comfortably fit 20K in there.

I’m staggered after the stadium and concert crush deaths in the past Having people packed on grass hills is still considered acceptable at all

And yeh, we've had that at NRL games before. Lol.
Being a Pom, you should know better about safely cramming fans into stadiums.
