The Game 2022 Crowd Watch

Would you say they should move the game if it were Parramatta’s home game?
Or if the Roosters beat South’s should it be at Accor!
Penrith won the right to a home final and that’s it!
Unless all finals are at neutral venues SHUT UP!
ofc its at accor if parra finished first dummy
it'll attract 50K there
& anyone who wants to go can .....

penrith won the right to a double chance like the other 3 sides in the top 4 & will play their final in western sydney
thats enough ..

souths v roosters is not as critical because this game probs won't attract much more then 40K at accor & the roosters play in a modern all seater that souths want to move to anyway

not a tin pot 20K capacity shithole with f**king hills

western sydney teams at accor or commbank
the rest ( manly , roosters , souths , sharks ) at allianz

end of
nothing else will do

It would be 70k trust me.

Parramatta fans would travel in force and so would Penrith.

Not on a Friday night.

Think back to that huge Dogs v Eels Prelim it was a Sat night to get into the GF

Roosters v Souffs in 2019 got 30k played in the city, moving the game 40km from Penrith isn't going to have the affect people expect

That prelim in 2009 was friday night.
Storm and Broncos played Saturday night.

If the Nrl managed to oet the event buses on like origin and Easter show to homebush from parramatta, hills area and penrith it would be packed.

Parra got 41k against the cowboys in a semi final at homebush in 2017 and I reckon there was 3k cowboys fan there.

With the form and rivalry between us and Penrith it would get 70k.

They can't even get enough Trains and buses to get people to work, let alone extra services put on

the extra 10k would be like a ghost town in Accor

I don't know about 60k but it would certainly get 40k+ at homebush.

So

under similar circumstances do you switch Easts v South’s from Allianz to Accor, and Cronulla v Cowboys to anywhere, and the deny Melbourne their home final? Seems fair but only if all games are switched!

SFS is a completely reasonable size for a finals venue. It wouldn't get more than 45k at Accor in week 1.

If the NRL were to move the Penrith game citing a bigger crowd then yeah you would probably have to move sharks too as they would get 20k at SFS.

The size of Melbourne stadium is fine.

if Sharks played their semi at the SFS they would get a reasonable crowd of both fans and neutrals for the novelty of the new stadium (provided trains are running)

you and Souths got 30k in 2019, Probably get the same for week 1 finals this year. Not sure why more would come when the game is 40km away as opposed to in the local area

2 reasons

Despite what souths fans will claim, parra are easily the biggest fanbase in Sydney. Also nothing brings out fans like a potential drought breaking run, see dragons in 2010 and souths 2014 as examples. There is a real feeling this could be the year for parra.

Having said that, I'm not advocating for it to be moved. The NRL rules state week 1 games can be played at regular venues and Penrith finished first. I'm just saying I couldn't blame the NRL if they did move it.
