Someone could tell me that the Penrith players were all Westworld-style robots/hosts and I wouldn't be surprised

They are in a different realm of fitness and conditioning to the other 15 teams
To be fair.

Cleary had 5 weeks off
Luai played one game in 6 weeks
Fish had 3 weeks off the past month.
Everyone else except Sorensen and Kenny had last week off

No team was fresher or healthier than Panthers this weekend. Though that's also the area Panthers pride themselves on in recent years. But we had an advantage fitness wise. Everyone was well rested

Not smug enough, place yourself under home arrest.

Smug is Cleary back and we may as well give them the trophy now and not put the rest of the finalists through the torture of trying to beat them.

Get hopes up and then get rodgered. Dumb.

Hold the official ceremony in the Solomons.

I’m actually PMSL at all the Eels fans that actually thought they would beat us tonight because of some sort of mythical hoodoo…

I wasnt confident. I know theyve done well against them twice but its hard to do it three times let alone a finals game.

They were right in it until the Blake dropped ball in the second half. If Parra completed more sets, the scoreline wouldve been closer.

Its a lesson they should learn from, but who knows what will happen next week. I'm a little worried.

Eels forwards got a bit spooked against intense and rested smug at full stretch at home.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
