Tweed choked. 24-0 up and losing is the most Tigers display I've seen of the QRL competitions. Was nice to see it on TV today as well and not squint on Kayo

A Norths v Redcliffe GF is my tip.

This would be a first in first grade.

Just like last year (Norths v WM).

Checked with the NRL and the State Championship game is returning to NRL GF Day this year.

Sounds like it precedes the NRLW GF with a1pm kick off.

Any of the four possible Grand Final combinations will be a first time in the Queensland Cup or the BRL prior to 1996.

Redcliffe don't look as strong as previous weeks. Where's Rocco Berry and Pompey?

I'm leaning slightly towards BBears now that I have seen the teams.

So it will be a Redcliffe-Norths grand final next week after both won their prelim finals yesterday.

As XXXX Cap mentioned before, it will be the first both teams have ever faced off in a 1st grade decider Q Cup or BRL.

The Norths Devils are back in the Hostplus Cup grand final after unleashing another finals fightback against the Sunshine Coast Falcons at Bishop Park today.

The Devils won the Hostplus Cup preliminary final 20-13 to book their second consecutive grand final berth and to continue a remarkable 2022 run.

The Redcliffe Dolphins are in the grand final for the first time since 2018 after coming from behind to defeat the minor premiers Burleigh Bears 28-16 at Moreton Daily Stadium.

This was sure to be an entertaining clash between the two most successful teams in Cup history, with the Dolphins and Bears also being the two highest points-scoring sides in the competition this season.

It hasn’t been the smoothest road to get there, but Norths Devils will get the opportunity to go back-to-back in the Hostplus Cup when they take on Redcliffe Dolphins in this year’s decider.

Last year’s premiers timed their 2022 finals run to perfection, finishing the season strongly to cement their place in the top four, before beating both the minor premiership winning Burleigh Bears and the second-placed Sunshine Coast Falcons during their road to the decider.

What a grand final in prospect.

What a disgrace it has to go up against the AFL GF.

Should be Sunday arvo regardless of whatever will be on at Suncorp Stadium at the same time.

Tip: Norths 22 Redcliffe 20

MOM - Tyrone Roberts closely followed by Jack Ahearn.

It could have gone all pear-shaped for Redcliffe after only 1 win (a fortunate one too) from the first 6 rounds. I don’t know how many players the club has used in top grade this year but it must be a lot given the constant team changes throughout the season largely due the Warriors poor NRL season.

But they turned things around, embarked on a unbeaten streak, secured a spot in the top 4 and knocked over the Falcons and the Bears on route to the gf.

Hopefully the boys can do it tomorrow before the club begins a brand era in 2023.

So Norths go back-to-back with the same scoreline : 16-10.

Exciting match right to the end (unlike the AFL). I notice there's no Norths people in the above awards.

I don't think Wayne would be too excited with what he saw today. Especially the Colts who had too many undisclipined Warriors players in their team. Despite the wraps Cody Hunter was particularly disappointing.

Norfs‘ defence was too good on the day and nullified Redcliffe’s best attacking players for the most part. A couple of close moments like Ed Burns touching the sideline twice could have swung the game in Redcliffe’s favour but that‘s the way it goes sometimes.
