Bit of a difference being against a life ruining substance and being homophobic.no different when SBW didnt want a jersey with alcohol on it
Alcohol is a systemic problem in society though.no different when SBW didnt want a jersey with alcohol on it
Yeah, totally no difference between not wearing an advert for alcohol company, and wearing a jersey with a rainbow that represents that the game is for everyone regardless of sexuality or gender identity.no different when SBW didnt want a jersey with alcohol on it
I'd like to understand why you believe there is no difference?no different when SBW didnt want a jersey with alcohol on it
You're still not making any sense. You are entitled to your opinion, which is why I'd actually like to hear WHY you believe an alcohol boycott - which might barely affect a multimillion dollar conglomerate is remotely similar to the vilification of a group of people - for reasons totally out of their control - who would otherwise be fans of the sport that we all love?Really, if you don't want to wear don't wear it. It doesn't make you homophobic.... Im sorry but if your using it as a platform to call out people for being a homophobic it's just a cheap shot. FML too many snow flakes (and no im not homophobic... which is the nest line that most people will say)
The jersey is to promote inclusivity in the game and the message that everyone is welcome. By refusing to wear this jersey, it clearly suggests they don’t believe this and that the lgbtqi+ community should be excluded.Really, if you don't want to wear don't wear it. How so?You're still not making any sense.
Read @Frailty's post above. It covers it.How so?
Firstly of all at the moment all jersey (ANZAC, Womens etc) a pretty much horrible looking billbards for sponsors (I.E NSW JERSEY) and a just money spinners for clubs... Which actually do nothing for the actual cause they are promoting. Do the clubs give a percentage of sales to the intended organisations? No?The jersey is to promote inclusivity in the game and the message that everyone is welcome. So yes, it is homophobic.
Especially when you add the context that they had no qualms wearing the indigenous jersey, or the “community jersey”… or the Anzac jersey… or previous women in league jerseys.
