Firstly of all at the moment all jersey (ANZAC, Womens etc) a pretty much horrible looking billbards for sponsors (I.E NSW JERSEY) and a just money spinners for clubs... Which actually do nothing for the actual cause they are promoting. Do the clubs give a percentage of sales to the intended organisations? No?
Secondly, the jersey itself represents inclusiveness for example Broncos supporter who live in Sydney or New Zealanders playing for Queensland. Like give me a brake....
yea....Exactly what a homophobe would say
And yet, a decade on the number of women working in NRL clubs or involved in grass roots has increased. It took about a decade for everyone to see the pink jerseys as a pandering money grab. how long will it take for these corporate pride grabs to be seen the same way?

Its almost like promoting Rugby League as a supportive and welcoming environment helps engagement
It's all of it. Young girls love the Pink jerseypink jerseys being sold by NRL clubs did that did they? Or was it establishing womens and girls divisions, cleaning up the amateur sport’s violent thuggish image, and generally making the game more family/mother friendly with the introduction of OzTag and other safety measures?
nah, definitely the pink jerseys
Your sarcasm is spot onI f**king hate Manly but the jersey looks great, hope Penrith do one I'd buy it in a second.
I think there are certain rules that state all team member's jerseys and uniforms must be matching.I think it is good that the Sea Eagles as a club are promoting inclusivity, but creating a special jersey creates numerous problems. Firstly, it reveals players' views on the LGBTQIA+ community without the players themselves having the right to choose whether their beliefs are revealed or not. Secondly, as a result of my first point, the players who do not want to wear the jersey will now cop heaps of backlash from fans due to the fact that their views were forcibly revealed. And lastly, if the players not wanting to wear the jersey do sit out the game, it could mean that LGBTQIA+ views, and religion as a broader subject, could influence the result of the game, something that should not happen. I think that the Sea Eagles should have not released the jersey and promoted inclusivity in another way which allows players to keep their views private. For a solution, I propose that the players who do not want to wear the jersey simply wear the Sea Eagles' home jersey, which is the same jersey but with white instead of rainbow stripes.
Almost like making significant change takes more than one initiative. Who’d have thought, right?pink jerseys being sold by NRL clubs did that did they? Or was it establishing womens and girls divisions, cleaning up the amateur sport’s violent thuggish image, and generally making the game more family/mother friendly with the introduction of OzTag and other safety measures?

Or just wear the f**kn thing, and shut the f**k up, and dont bother highlighting the fact you hate anything LGBQTWXYZ or any other letter involved, seriously its a few fkn rainbows, im not pro gay or against gay, but if you make it a big deal about it, or bring religion into it, you'll end up pissing everyone off, i remember when the pink jerseys weren't favoured by fans (or more like males) nowadays they are worn by whole families, purely coz wifes and daughters are buying themI think it is good that the Sea Eagles as a club are promoting inclusivity, but creating a special jersey creates numerous problems. Gapewells time to shine babyI'd f**king love for a few gay players to come out and back it. Especially an Islander or 2
Yep no one gave a f**k that he's gay/bi did they?Gapewells time to shine baby
But he aint islander thoYep no one gave a f**k that he's gay/bi did they?
As DeeJ pointed out, you can’t have different jerseys and even if the NRL make an exception in this case, invariably people ask why some merkins are wearing a different kit. The reason will get found out pretty quickly. For a solution, I propose that the players who do not want to wear the jersey simply wear the Sea Eagles' home jersey, which is the same jersey but with white instead of rainbow stripes.
Tough rep forward is a good start! But he aint islander tho
