Looks like all sponsorship spots on the Bunnies jersey have now been filled with a new jersey to follow in a few weeks.

Despite the departures of coach Wayne Bennett and captain Adam Reynolds, the corporate world is getting right behind the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Over the next few weeks chief executive Blake Solly will reveal three new sponsors, one of them a major, to join the likes of Aqualand, Menulog, Crown and Wotif as corporate supporters.

The new agreements will ensure Souths will be up there with the Broncos and Roosters as the highest sponsored clubs in the competition.

Having glamour players of the calibre of Latrell Mitchell, Cody Walker, Cameron Murray and Damien Cook is obviously helpful in attracting the more lucrative sponsorship deals.

Also confirmed today that Mike Cannon-Brookes has bought a 25% stake in the Rabbitohs reducing Rusty and Packers interest in the club. Based on that there’s a strong chance that Atlassian (or one of the groups other brands) might be one of the new jersey sponsors.

The interesting thing is the fan jerseys no longer have stitched club and premiership logos. Rather they are "woven silicon badges".

I don't get it either. They will eventually come off the jerseys after repeated wash and dryer cycles. I get why the player versions are sub-laminated into the jersey design but the fan jerseys having this silicon shit is a cost cutting initiative IMO.

Game worn jerseys have all logos sublimated. The Silicone logos are only on the retail versions.

Given Wests and Gold Coast did logo updates for the "digital enhancements," I have to question which clubs will be next. I'd have to say the Dragons logo is definitely in need of a facelift, same with the Roosters and Manly. I think the rest are pretty 'digital safe.'

I like the SL way, traditional brand home, go as whacky as you like with away. Makes for interesting designs each season without wrecking your brand identity.

Roosters can't be far off a new logo. Pretty sure I read a while back that there's some agreement in place with the Opera House admins which expires soon. The right to have the Opera House's shape in the logo. A new deal would then come into play where the Roosters will have to start paying big bucks to them in order to keep the sails imagery in the logo. Other Sydney-based sporting teams are also going to have to change their logos or pay a lot of money too.

I foresee the Roosters reverting back to an updated version of their 1980s 'Eastern Suburbs' emblem.

Because of the traditional and iconic nature of the Dragons logo, I can't see them changing it or updating it.

I posted elsewhere in these forums recently my idea for an updated Manly logo, which was based on their 1990s logo but with a bigger bird. They may not want to change their logo anytime soon, but I'd like to see them revert to something like that some day.

Most of them look terrible tho, both home and away, catalans and huddersfield seem to be ok usually, but the others tend to be really weird, i saw one that looked like a hockey jersey the other day, then a complete turn round with hull with a full black kit, and white cheverons ala wests... i suppose it ike here some teams/designers are just shit

I hate the way they do that.
Yes, keep a traditional-style, easily recognisable kit for your main one. Absolutely.
But for an alternate jersey to be a completely different design AND colour set? Nup. Any casual observers of their games wouldn't know what the away team was. They even, on some teams alternate jerseys, even change the colours of the logo.

Personally, clubs should keep their colours on all jerseys (barring special occasions), but should be free to play around with whatever crazy designs they like on the alternate jerseys, so long as they do actually provide a point of contrast to the main.
