It's probably not far off the mark tbh.

There is varying levels of "Fandom" though, from casual through to obsessed, i'd say they have a lot in the casual bracket but one look at their membership totals would indicate they do have great support.

They also have a fair bit of support in QLD as well.

Someone casually saying in the street they prefer NRL club X doesnt make a fanbase lol.

Merch sales, memberships, tv audiences, attendances. The only metrics that matter and that should be measured for gauge of a clubs fanbase size. I have no doubt Storm are still in top 3 clubs across any of those metrics but lets not pretend they have 1.2million fans!

speculation for sure but I'll bet the panthers are over 20K ( well over) , they're the defending premiers & have been at 22K in the past so its a given. Why they're not reporting their numbers is weird tbh
& with the other 2
we'd be around the mid 330K's
pretty ok

hopefully with 20 to 25K for the dolphins , a big increase for the warriors & some more growth for the rest
we can tickle 400K in 2023

pay it off at $6 a week....

go to as many or few games as you wish. give it to a friend when you're not using it

there are two Sydney clubs which have more members than brisbane

and they share the market with 7 other teams

broncos I would say are one of the worst in terms of poor membership numbers given their market and competition.

strangely they are one of the few with bigger crowds than memberships. Given the cost of seats at suncorp for one off games that is surprising. Their terrible membership website wont be helping them lol.

Total 2021 membership numbers increased to 28,533 (2020: 28,087) with ticketed membership numbers increasing to 22,253 (2020: 21,077) and non-ticketed membership numbers decreasing to 6,280 (2020: 7,010).
