Think about it, if AFL didn't exist and all of those 6 ft 10, 7 ft 1 AFL players played a real sport like basketball the Boomers would be a gold medal chance, I never actually said they would win it but they'd be a chance.

Hugh Greenwood and Scott Pendlebury case in point both extremely talented basketballers before they swapped their sneakers for a Sherrin.

Had Greenwood stuck with basketball instead of throwing it in for AFL he might be playing against Josh Giddey and Patty Mills in the NBA. He had a pretty good career in the US college system for the University of New Mexico.

Lmao that ratings collapse is hilarious. Super rugby as a 12 team competition was a decent competition to the nrl.

they added too many teams and the quality of the competition started to fall. Then they lost the south african teams and that is something they won’t recover from

even if the bring back a new competition with maybe ten teams in total the damage has been done

nz is a massive growth market for rugby league and something which helps the sport grow in an area which afl just doesn’t have the guts to expand too. They would rather a team in Tasmania than a team in Auckland

Can someone tell me what " mini`s " are ? and how they relate to the ratings figures. Are they any different from extended highlights or are they longer and would they go into consolidated 7 - day viewing figures.
I can see them becoming very popular for sports that tend to drag on for inordinate amounts of time.
