Kayo estimated 95K plus hahahaha

the figures are consistently 60% of the foxtel number
so thats 150K
"the figures" have never been consistently anything let alone 60% of the fox number on average, For the most part there have been no "figures".

like the first 10 rounds of the season last year. when they were less than 40%. And thats literally all we have for NRL data on Kayo. That figure was given as a whole for the Fox Group at a per match average of 374k, when the Fox box ratings had a 269k average for the 10 rounds to date - 39% of the Fox Box average is attrributed to Kayo at that point.

Last seasons opener had a fox group average of 487,000 for the highest R1 NRL Fox audience ever, with a Fox box avcerage of 355,000 - that leaves 132,000 - 37% of the Box audience watched on Kayo.

Any finals inferences were based on the reported lift in AFL ratings from season to finals, but there was no Kayo data after magic round for the NRL.

good solid numbers over night for the NRL on foxtel

Tigers V Storm 309K
Warriors V Dragons 228K
Roosters V Knights 196K

with streaming over 1 million viewers

not out standing , but solid. Pretty much what the whole round has been so far.

I hear traffic in Sydney is at its lowest level ever recorded.

Not a single horse on the streets and they don't count cars

Im pretty sure that Thursday figure for 2021 includes kayo while all the others don't , so I think we've shaded last years figures based on that alone ,
Plus I think the continued migration of STV subscribers from foxtel to kayo would have continued since last season so numbers would be up on last year for rnd one for those other games too IMO.

I understand we may be getting kayo numbers reported as regularly as early as this month so we will know more then.

the solid numbers for rnd 1 continued yesterday

253K Ch 9 metro
235K foxtel
no regional , 9go or streaming yet but probs around 750K when its all said & done

241K for the later foxtel game , so well over a million for the 2 games when streaming is added to that last game.

Data obtained by TV Blackbox reveals Saturday night’s Foxtel/Kayo exclusive Tigers v Storm game was #1 NRL regular season game of all-time on subscription television with an average audience of 547K.

The second highest rating game of the 2022 opening round was the Cowboys v Bulldogs with an average audience of 473K.

Overall, Round 1 of the new 2022 season was the highest performing regular season NRL Round of all-time for the Foxtel Group with an average result of 436K nationally.

This figure was up +15% on corresponding 2021 R1 (378K), and was up +8% on previous highest rating regular NRL season (R25 2021, 406K)

This puts Thursday nights streaming ratings at about 215,000 and Saturday nights streaming at about 238,000.
At a 436k average, total Fox group ratings for the NRL for Round 1 were 3.488m, plus about 1.7m on FTA for more than 5m viewers for the first round.
Fox streaming ratio of about 0.77 for every set top box in round 1, 2022 - round 1 last year that ratio was 0.49 (and then down to 0.39 by the close of magic round)

In some ways I’m surprised fox ratings haven’t tanked harder. My family recently switched to Kayo and frankly I didn’t realise just how much they were paying. They now have Stan, Kayo, Netflix, Disney plus and Amazon prime and they’re paying far less then they were just for fox.
