In some ways I’m surprised fox ratings haven’t tanked harder. My family recently switched to Kayo and frankly I didn’t realise just how much they were paying. They now have Stan, Kayo, Netflix, Disney plus and Amazon prime and they’re paying far less then they were just for fox.
Did the same. Went from $110 for Fox to $15 Kayo, $12 disney, $20 netflix. Saved a fair whack each month! Surprised Fox numbers arent dropping quicker as well.

The NRL and AFL have delivered record highs for subscription services Foxtel and Kayo.

Data obtained by TV Blackbox reveals after both Round 1 and Round 2 of the NRL, the average NRL audience for Foxtel and Kayo is 420,000, up 14% on 2021.

Round 2 audiences averaged 393,000, up 9% on 2021.

Sunday night’s Bulldogs v Broncos clash was the number two highest rating NRL regular-season game of all-time on subscription television with an average audience of 544,000.

This fell just behind Round 1’s Tigers v Storm game which was the number one NRL regular-season game of all-time with an average audience of 553,000.

Geez streaming numbers are f**king exploding. Shouldn’t be a surprise with how popular streaming services are but that’s some seriously impressive growth. That’s gotta be a bit of a concern for the FTA networks. Not only will it start eating into their ratings but I can see potentially more bids coming in for the rights as we see the potential for streaming grow.

This isn’t like the old fox days where a huge portion of the fan base is excluded by the batshit insane cost.

The Telstra deal would have seen a massive boost in subscriptions over last 12 months, once no longer free on Telstra and the $15 Kayo deal came up many, including me, jumped on it. How many drop off after 12 months when it goes up to $25 a month will be interesting to see. I also wonder if more people will switch off during off season. I watch NFL and F1 so worth having it for all months but if you're just getting it for NRL or AFL might as well save yourself $100 in the off season.

That's what I do each year. Then when the season comes back Telstra roll out the $15 deal again. Basically get the whole season for a little over $100. Shits a bargain.

Unfortunately neither Nine, Oztam or MediaweekAUS are giving us the regionals for some reason, these can take a week to show on the Total TV ratings. It is not a deliberate strategy by myself

It blows my mind seven didn't get the streaming rights to the cricket they broadcast.

I went to watch the Ashes on the Seven website and no dice.

Such visionaries.

I got Kayo for $5 a month and it was brilliant for WFH and the NFL.

Excellent ratings for the NRL last night ,
around 1.4 Million with streaming included for the 3 games

The improved product being served up is no doubt helping the increased ratings

Theyll never admit it but thst stupid six again rule last year ruined the season.

Look at the draw even teams match up.
Weathers has been horrible and weaker teams are better
Need to see where the season finishes up to judge it fully

Good to see over the weekend fumbleball Fox ratings returned to something more like what we are used to seeing. i.e. a fraction of Rugby League`s.
